SCP 5232 (SAFE class)
scp 5232 is a tattered, spiral-bound notebook, not unlike those used by schoolchildren, dated for 1979 with the name “[REDACTED]” on the front. This scp appears to be completely empty, upon first glance, but once a subject has held it for a period of 30 seconds or longer, it will flip open to a random page and words will begin to appear in a messy scrawl. although it is possible to put scp 5232 down once this has happened, it takes an incredibly strong will to do so without aid. the words that appear are a personalized account of the subject holding 5232’s death, written out in the form of either a limerick or a haiku. once the subject has read the poem to completion, they forget everything and strive to complete the task that will lead to their death. the words will remain imprinted upon 5232 until the subject has died, at which point it will reset and await it’s next victim. we refer to this as scp 5232-1.
