The Dream Machine

This SCP is made up of three parts:
The Laptop - Its display shows "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DREAM TONIGHT" when powered on. Looks like a gaming laptop.
The Woman - This entity appears to be a woman in their late 20s. It is 167cm in height, and seems to be of African descent. This one is more active - it likes to approach and speak to people.
The Man - This entity appears to be a man in their late 20s. It is 175cm in height and seems to be of European descent. This one is more passive - it needs to be encouraged to approach people.

All three are capable of providing the dreams requested. All subjects report feeling well rested after the experience.
Other abilities to include or leave out
- Humaniod entities range (how far they can get from the laptop)
- Defensive behaviour?
- When do they get agressive, if they even do?

Story Overview

Remember, explore how the enitities behave. What effect does all this dream making have on them? Do they get to see the dreams they create? Are they ever uncomfortable with people's requests? Is there a /need/ for them to make dreams, or is it more like a hobby? Why did they make the Dream Machine in the first place? (Note: try not to go into detail about the /how/ as that's not the focus). Did they achieve that goal? How do they feel about how things are now? Thoughts on the staff that watch them?

Might be useful to tie abilities gained to their state of mind. Make it a real focus while writing.

Starting abilities: A sort of teleportation; ability to recover from fatal damage; have been observed to create dreams

Containment specialist [name] often took leave from work and returned well rested. Not unusual, but he was very private about life outside of work. This alone wasn't enough to rouse suspicion. It was the overheard conversations and the odd slip that drew notice.
[name] had been working on the particularly stressful containment of XXXX for about two months before he was placed under observation. Something they said while working with the team (maybe along the lines of “It’ll be fun to work on my personal containment once I get back”) put him on watch. He requested leave soon after, which was granted, and a small reconnaissance team was sent to follow him.
The leave lasted three days and on each one he visited what appeared to be a friend of his. Only watching, there wasn’t much to learn, but the bugs the team had planted on [name], and around his home gave them a good idea of what was going on.

(what do they learn and what do they do with this info?)

- Find containment difficult at first - entities keep appearing outside of initial containment. Interview/experiment is done, giving the researchers the knowledge they need to properly contain the SCP (what did they do?).

- Run tests on the SCP - discover abilities they didn't start out with. Where the entities keeping quiet about them or are they new? Should they stop testing?

Discovered abilities: Seem to know (within a small radius) how well ppl are sleeping; can contact lucid dreamers while they sleep

- Choose to hold off on testing and simply monitor. The entities become more obsessive with dreams (how do they change?).

- Is it safe to keep this up? What if they develop another new ability while in this unstable state? (will leave things here)

Danger Close

This SCP is a single item. Wearers/users of the item display the uncanny ability to avoid dangerous or unfavourable situations. Some claim to hear voices while using it, but most describe feeling a hunch or strong urge directing their actions. (Will look into whether this is already a thing before continuing)
