Item # : xxxx

ffUD9bw.jpg

Object class : Safe

Special containment Procedures : scp xxxx is to be separated into ten seed canisters which are are to be climate controlled at a temperature of -15 degrees celcius and stored in a moistureless environment miniature biological containment canister based chamber.

Description : SCP-XXXX is a collection of 2781 identical weight and dimension wheat seeds of healthy appearance, SCP-XXXX shows no anomalous properties until the introduction of any liquid over the quantity of 5ml at which point it will cease intaking liquid and begin to grow in a unique pattern specific to that type of liquid, distilled water for example always producing wheat plants.

Unlike their normal counterparts or anomalous growth of flora, these plants produced through hydration of SCP-XXXX seeds will grow at an increased rate on average taking 72 hours to reach maturity, once mature the SCP-XXXX produced plant will typically begin to produce grain, seed, root crop or fruit with certain liquid not following this rule given testing data, it’s to be noted that matured SCP-XXXX may suffer a state of withering once a quantity of produce is harvested from the SCP-XXXX plant, other such samples may not.

Recovery Log :

SCP - XXXX was recovered on 18th of February 2010, after reports of a “Mythical all crop” was made by Faroe Island locals through word of mouth. After this information was brought to the foundations attention, a recovery team was sent to the rumoured location of a Mr. A[redacted]. The individual was noticed to be in possession multiple relics of vastly different time periods and cultures. He was also in ownership of multiple notes on SCP-XXXX and a plethora on other subjects. All notes, but those concerning SCP-XXXX, were redacted and archived on the base that they were mere other interest to the self proclaimed Scientist, Mr. A[redacted].

Other Scientist claiming to be part of Mr. A[redacted] were brought in for questioning and nothe of exceptional abilities were later given temporary positions at the SCP Foundation. Those who did not live up to SCP Foundation standards and Civilians were also brought in for questioning and then given Class B amnestics. All known and discovered instances of SCP-XXXX were confiscated and brought to biological flora research site 57 where appropriate containment measures were developed.

Interview Log : 1

Interviewer Dr. Miller
Interviewed Mr A[redacted]

<audio log>

Dr. Miller : Hello Mr A[redacted], I’d like to ask you a few questions in regards to your… research into SCP-XXXX.

Mr. A[redacted] : Well you and your ilk have already taken everything I’ve worked on for the past 40 years. (Subject sounds exceedingly bitter) Why not?

Dr. Miller : I see… right then… Are you responsible for the creation of SCP-XXXX Mr. A[redacted] ?

Mr. A[redacted] : No, I am not responsible for the creation of the seeds.

Dr. Miller : Can you tell us when you came into possession of these seeds then Mr. A[redacted]

Mr. A[redacted] : The seeds have been in my family for generations. I was only allowed to have them after my father's departure that was able to start my research. they were an old family heirloom in a sense.

Dr. Miller : In what sense Mr. A[redacted]?

Mr. A[redacted] : My father told me that they were a gift from the heavens for our family found by our ancestor long before the islands were populated as much as it is now..

Dr. Miller : Go on…

Mr. A[redacted] : He also told me that the “gift from heaven” was only for those of our blood and sharing their produce would bring ruin upon the family. Personally I didn’t believe him always thought he was a selfish old bastard, even when I was young, threatened to resow me on more than one occasion, said I came out wrong. He didn’t even let me play with them until he died!

Dr. Miller : What do you mean, resow, Mr. A[redacted]?

Mr. A[redacted] : I Come from the seed Dr. Miller. Like my father and his father before him, all going back to my ancestor who discovered the seeds in the first place.

Dr. Miller : Elaborate Mr A[redacted].

Mr. A[redacted] : Why Dr. Miller, i’d have thought it obvious from my wording, i’m a clone of a clone of myself, a cycle repeating back to when the original me found them in the first place. I suppose he was correct about not sharing, what was it, a month since I allowed some of the seeds crops outwards into the commoners that I damned myself to sitting before you, funny in a sense.

Dr. Miller : Mr A[redacted] If you are aware of the consequences of informing civilians of your… origin, why inform us of it?

Mr. A[redacted] : I’m old doctor, i’m old, tired and don’t want another of myself coming into existence by my hand.

Mr. A[redacted] : All I ask is some comfort before it happens.

Dr. Miller : Before… what, happens exactly?

Mr. A[redacted] : Your foundation will know it when you see the decay on my body.

<end log>

Following this log, Mr. A[redacted] was confined temporarily to a standard humanoid containment, approximately two months later Mr. A[redacted] suffered a massive brain aneurysm followed by an accompanying seizure, by the time medical personnel arrived Mr. A[redacted]’s physical body decayed into a mass of viscous pale paste, paste later identified as extremely concentrated mass of wheat gluten.

Interviewer Dr. Miller
Interviewed Dr. Frandsen

<Audio log>
Dr. Miller: Good morning, Dr. Frandsen

Frandsen: Have I really been in your custody that long?

Dr. Miller: Maybe, because of the nature of the foundation we aren’t actually allowed to disclose any information outside of foundation walls. Now, from what I've read from your file, you have been working with Mr. A[redacted] for the longest period of time at 12 years. How did you come into accountancy with Mr. A[redacted]?

Frandsen: No beating around the bush eh? Well i grew up in one of the towns around his laboratory. He was a household name at that point. Other townsfolk would always refer to him as a mad man selling his snake oil. They would never even dream of being in any sort of relationship with the guy. But growing up an outcast myself i always had a desire to know the guy better, After working my ass of and going to multiple Universities to get a few PHDs in Biology and specifically one in plant life. I came home to get some work done. When I acquainted myself with the man he was nothing like the stories, quite sweet actually.

Dr. Miller: I see. So you were drawn to him by your fascination of him?

Frandsen: Yes…

Dr. Miller: how well do you think you knew Mr. A[redacted]?

Frandsen: Despite how long we were working together, not a lot actually. Even though every now and then he would open up to me we never really clicked. He was always fascinated in other aspects of the seed rather than its actually biological composition. It was almost like he thought the seeds had souls, or a conscience. Other than that he focused on folklore that could have an inkling of relation to the seed.

Dr. Miller: could you perhaps elaborate?

Frandsen: The Tree of life? The Forbidden Fruit? Shamrocks? Have you really never heard these stories?

Dr. Miller: I couldn’t say I haven’t

Superviser: stick to the questions!

Dr. Miller: *sighs* Did Mr. A[redacted] find any correlation to these stories?

Frandsen: Of course he did, But they were connected by a thing string of ceramic.

Dr. Miller: So they weren’t very well correlated?

Frandsen: has the pope molested me?

Dr. Miller: no? Well i think we can end it there, this definitely informed me of what kind of man Mr. A[redacted] was.

Frandsen: Was? Are you meaning to tell me he’s dead?

Log ends there with Frandsen continuing to shout danish and faroese Profanities and Dr. Miller leaves.

Interviewer Dr. Miller
Interviewed Civilian, D[redacted]

Dr. Miller: what role did you play in apprehending Mr A[redacted]

D: Apprehending? You mean he’s here?

Dr. Miller: yes, We have contained him

D: that man is a lunatic, Everyone doesn’t believe because he started giving use some magic beans but that man’s been dangerous since i met him.

Dr. Miller: could you perhaps elaborate?

D: the first time we met he tried stuffing the things down my throat to make me believe it wasn’t a farce.

Dr. Miller: and how long ago was this?

D: Around the time He first started to show up, I’d say I was around 14. I think I can sue on the grounds of assault but I never dared.

Dr. Miller: So you were in contact with Mr. A[redacted] before anyone else in the surrounding villages?

D: Of course not! He was there before anyone else was. Too be honest no one actually knows how old he is. Some People think centuries!

Dr. Miller: Do you subscribe to the theory that Mr. A is multiple people with the same characteristics.

D: Okay tinhat, like i believe the earth is flat and the moon is a hologram [civilian D proceeds to laugh in doctor miller’s face]

Dr.Miller: Answer the question Mr. D.

D: *sighs* No I do not, It’s not like there is a seed cult

Dr. Miller: quite right.

Testing Log :

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 1

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with distilled water.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Xen
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Distilled water
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed
Results : Seeds absorbed 10ml of distilled water pulling it inside the outer layer of the seed before ceasing the absorption of more fluid, following this the seed germinated in a matter of minutes proceeding to grow at a rate significantly faster than that of normal wheat, reaching maturity in 72 hours, the grain produced from the SCP-XXXX plants showed no abnormalities and have been stored, once harvested SCP-XXXX plants withered and decayed rapidly.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, withered, remains disposed of.
Additional notes : “Further testing is required” - Dr Xen.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 2

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with saline water solution.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Xen
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Saline water solution.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed
Results : Seeds absorbed 10ml of the saline water solution, absorbing the liquid in a previous manner to the previous test, abnormality noted when the seeds began to germinate, the resulting stalks not matching any known form of wheat or even cereal crop, the stalks twisting into themselves similar to that of a bonsai tree before ceasing growth at the 72 hour mark, following this (5) pods similar to that of monkey nuts began to grow in the resulting plant, analysis of the pods once detached revealed that the interior of said pods contained crystalline salt deposits, each pod containing 5g of salt.
Resulting plant status : Stored on site for further study.
Additional notes : “The fact that these seeds aren’t following typical or even logical growth patterns may be cause for concern” - Dr Xen.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 3

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with fluid quantity less than the observed 10ml amount.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Xen
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Distilled water
Liquid quantity used : N/A
Results : Seeds were watered at different quantities, from 1ml of fluid up to the 10ml of fluid range in 1ml increments. Seeds watered at the rates 4ml, 3ml, 2ml and 1ml showed no activation unlike those at the 5ml and above germinated at the same rate, further attempts to water the seed once germination proved impossible, additional fluid was added to the samples below the 5ml margin raising it to the 5ml margin, at which point germination occurred. All plants maturing within 72 hours following the pattern noted in test 1.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, withered, remains disposed of.
Additional notes : “It seems that anything within the 5ml to 10ml range is sufficient to begin the germination process for SCP-XXXX, this could be useful if we are ever to do testing involving expensive or limited access liquids in the future” - Senior Researcher Reichner.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 4

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with distilled water at both boiling temperature and near freezing temperature to determine if temperature of fluid is a factor effecting that of the development of SCP-XXXX created plants.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr Dervin
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds for boiling temperature 10 seeds for near freezing temperature.
Liquid type used : Distilled water 100 degrees celsius, Distilled water 0 degrees celsius.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : Seeds developed in fashion similar to that from previous distilled water tests, however abnormalities were noted when the samples began to develop grain. The grain collected from the set of boiling water tested SCP-XXXX produced a grain which when contacted by collection instruments, burst in a manner identical to that of common popcorn, the near freezing temperature distilled water tested SCP-XXXX produced a grain that when contacted by collection instruments shattered in a manner similar to that of glass, attempts to collect the shattered samples of the grain proved ineffective as the grain soon melted into a pool of liquid noted to be high in both starch and gluten, these samples have since been archived and stored accordingly.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, withered, remains disposed of.
Additional notes : “It’s apparent that whilst the liquid type affects the outcome and there is a large margin for variance, it seems that SCP-XXXX follows a pattern of development. Which is predictable at least in the sense of using distilled water.” - Dr Dervin.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 5

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with paste generated from the mashing of a fruit to determine if thickness of liquid is a factor.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Jr researcher Lyle.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Paste generated from mashing of banana.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : SCP-XXXX are noted to be seen pulling in all fluid from the paste before pulling in the solid matter, seeds are additionally noted alter in appearance once absorption process is completed, SCP-XXXX germination rate noted to be slower than that of previous testing growth rate additionally slower taking 82 hours for the seeds to both combine together and grow into what resembles that of miniature banana trees, approximately 3 hours after finishing growth plant produced from SCP-XXXX produces miniature bananas measuring 5cm in length, fruit contained no abnormalities despite smaller size, once collected it was noted that the plant didn’t wither in a manner similar to that of test 2.
Resulting plant status : Stored on site in site cafeteria, access given to all level 2 personal on site.
Additional notes : “We can’t just keep wasting SCP-XXXX on testing in this manner forever, i’m proposing we use less conventional fluids on SCP-XXXX samples in the future” - Dr Xen.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 6

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with unpasteurized milk.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Head researcher Green.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Bovine milk, unpasteurized.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : SCP-XXXX reacted aggressively to the introduction of the milk sample, the seeds inverting and implanting themselves into each other into a singular mass, following this the resulting mass took on a fleshy texture with a notably green colouration. At the 58 hour mark maturity in the mass which at this point resembled that of an udder began to weep quantities of what was presumably milk, testing however on D class soon noted that whilst in appearance of milk, the fluid was in fact a stream of concentrated lactose sugar in a liquid state. Whilst there was talk of preserving the plant produced from SCP-XXXX seeds in this instance, the decision was made at the 70 hour mark to destroy the sample as rate of fluid produced from the SCP-XXXX plant has been increasing in rate and may have proven to be hazardous in the long term.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, successful incineration, remains stored.
Additional notes : “It is to be noted that in future, testing of SCP-XXXX to be carried out in an isolated chamber as opposed to the standard laboratory set up which has been carrying out prior, I don’t want any messes that cannot be cleaned up easily.” - Head researcher Green.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 7

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with standard domestic branded bleach
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Weinn
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Standard domestic bleach of the [redacted] brand.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : The seeds following absorption and germination developed at a lower than average rate, maturing over the period of 84 hours, the seeds during this time matured into what resembled that of a large fern with notable small nodules across the underside of the leaf as well as along the steam, root analysis determined the same nodules were present below the soil medium level also, D-7196 was sent into growing chamber for testing purposes of testing response, upon D-7196’s aproach within 2m of the plant the plant began to react shaking and rustling violently for approximately 3 seconds before emitting a large cloud of thick opaque gas which later was discovered to be a form of “mustard gas” throughout the entire chamber. The D class subject displayed noticeable anguish after lingering in the gas for just a few moments, experiencing burning of the skin, asphyxiation and death within a period of [redacted].
Resulting plant status : Stored on site for further study.
Additional notes : N/A.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 8

Test proposal : Testing of SCP-XXXX with an alcoholic cocktail referred to as a martini.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Miller.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : A martini prepared by Dr miller in the ratio of [redacted] fluid oz of dry vermouth to [redacted] oz of gin, addition of [redacted] lemon to [redacted] olives also included in the the cocktail.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : SCP-XXXX absorbed the liquid applied to it with seeds taking on a monochrome colouration following the germination process, monochromatic stalks noticeably merged into a mass resembling that of a biomass resembling that of a miniaturized olive tree trunk, leaves and branches not present on the plant, instead being replaced with expanded sacks of what resembled peyote plants. Upon sending a D-class in for testing the sacks appeared close to bursting, when instructed to squeeze the sack like masses on the plant the D-class let out a yelp of surprise squeezing one of the sacks of the SCP-XXXX produced plant resulted in the production of a liquid quickly Identified as Alcoholic in nature, further testing revealed this alcoholic fluid to be a form of modified martini with reduced alcohol content and increased flavour. A request was put in by Dr. Miller to Senior researcher Green for the ownership of the resulting plant, which was granted on the stipulation that it was not to be consumed during work hours.
Resulting plant status : Currently in the possession of Dr. Miller.
Additional notes : N/A

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 9

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with solution of hydrochloric acid at a PH 1 acidity.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Dervin
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds.
Liquid type used : Hydrochloric acid at a PH 1 acidity.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : SCP-XXXX seeds absorbed the acid and developed at a noticeably increased speed of maturity than previous tests, seeds maturing within 48 hours of germination, the seeds not combining but instead growing into a collection of plants which resemble that of venus fly traps, however these variations of the SCP-XXXX produced plants contained sacks of fluid in place of the teeth of the hydrochloric acid, these sacks when emptied of their content resulted in a measurement of [redacted]ml of hydrochloric acid per plant. It’s to be noted that once drained of the acid was complete the individual instance of the matured SCP-XXXX plant withered, extraction was carried out on the remaining instances of the SCP-XXXX produced plants with the acid being sent for analysis.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, withered, remains disposed of.
Additional notes : “This… could be useful if we require an emergency supply of that type of acid, assuming there’s no anomalous properties present in the acid that is.” - Dr Dervin.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 10

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with a quantity of liquid nitrogen.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Xen.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Liquid nitrogen.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per plant
Results : Seeds developed at a significantly slower rate, forming into what resembled that of a parsnip over a period of 80 hours. Resulting product ingested by D-class personnel. Subject reported no abnormalities in taste or texture when compared to store bought parsnips. Shortly after, subject began complaining about the perceived coldness of the testing chamber. As the subject attempted to warm themselves, their movements began slowing to a halt as a layer of frost developed around their extremities. Subject determined deceased after [redacted] minutes.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, Consumed by D-class.
Additional notes : "I know it's not our department, but these things could have an application in applied cryogenics." - Dr Xen.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 11

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with blood sample from D-6857.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Miller.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : AB blood sample from D-6857.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : Blood sample was applied to the SCP-XXXX seeds which resulted in the seeds taking on a skeltal lattice of what appeared to be bone initially, further testing revealing this actually being a form of hardened gluten, the plant developing into a large leafless stalk which over a period of 24 hours developed a large translucent sack of reddish fluid, temperature of the sack was measured at 37 degrees celsius, it was Junior researcher Lyle who initially noticed the development of a mass within the SCP-XXXX plant’s fluid sack, the researcher noting that it was strikingly similar to that of a fetus. After a period of [redacted] hours, the SCP-XXXX plant sack ruptured and an entity in appearance to that on infant was observed awake and healthy cooing the plant’s biomass, infant was later determined to be a genetic match with D-6857. Upon removal of the infant from SCP-XXXX plant’s remains the plant began to wither, the reddish fluid evaporating before a sample was able to be recovered. Infant was transferred to site [redacted] for observation and analysis.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, Withered, remains stored for analysis.
Additional notes : Upon termination of D-6857 infant produced by SCP-XXXX was noted to begin crying for a period of [redacted] hours.

Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Senior researcher Reichner.
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Corrosive mucus collected from SCP-106 following breach attempt.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : SCP-XXXX upon absorbing the mucus immediately took on a sickly appearance, despite this however the plants grew normally to at an average rate, reaching maturity within 72 hours, upon initial appearance of the plant despite the initial state of the seed once germinated, however after the 73 hour mark instead of grain forming, the plant began to decay as the black mucus like liquid began to appear across the entire surface of the SCP-XXXX’s surface. The experiment was terminated at the 75 hour mark where the plant fully corroded.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, remains incinerated.
Additional notes : “N/A”

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 14

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with sample of SCP-447 slime.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Senior researcher Reichner
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : SCP-447 slime sample.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : The SCP-XXXX seeds coated with SCP-447 grew to maturity at previously unrecorded speed, being fully matured within 30 minutes, during this time staff observed the seedlings produced from the germination process taking on a greenish glistening hue, plant appears hollow and reminiscent of bamboo upon maturity when growing period has stopped. The plant was harvested where upon dissection green cuboids were found within the now confirmed to be hollow SCP-XXXX plant cavity, analysis of the green cuboids contained a total of 3500 calories per instance, upon removal of these cuboids the SCP-XXXX plant instance withered and decayed.
Resulting plant status : Destroyed, withered, remains disposed of.
Additional notes : “As nice as it would be to replace some of the site’s food stuffs with this variation of the SCP-447 infused SCP-XXXX produce, the risk of SCP-447 coming into contact with dead bodies is still too great.” - Senior researcher Reichner.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 15

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with sample of molten Iron.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Xen
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds
Liquid type used : Molten Iron ingot 90% purity.
Liquid quantity used : N/A Seeds dropped into vat.
Results : SCP-XXXX upon contact with the vat of molten iron burst into flames for approximately 15 seconds before beginning the absorption process the metal being pulled up and around the seeds into a lump collection of iron spheres, 32 seconds following this an audible shattering sound is noted akin to that of glass breaking originating from the vat. SCP-XXXX is then seen growing vines up and out over the side of the vat which appear metallic in appearance, these vines cease growth after 1m before cooling. 75 hours following this rapid growth period, miniature pods began to grow along the surface of these vines, to date none of these pods have stopped growing and the largest measures [redacted]cm, this instance of SCP-XXXX plant life has been stored on site with an ongoing observation.
Resulting plant status : Stored, ongoing observation.

Test proposal : SCP-XXXX to be tested with liquid vaccine of influenza.
Approval status : Approved.

Researcher : Dr. Foxtanzen
Seed quantity used : 10 seeds.
Liquid type used : Liquid vaccine of current strain of influenza as of [redacted] date.
Liquid quantity used : 10ml per seed.
Results : Growth of SCP - XXXX was not slowed down by the influenza, but instead reached full maturity at the average rate. The SCP grew into what can only be described as a Full grown oak tree. The size of SCP - XXXX looked to be only limited by the size of the room itself, as the roof of the tree was in constant contact with the roof of the testing chamber. SCP - XXXX’s branches grew intertwined and conected through multiple areas. The SCP did not show any indication of the phenomenon known as Crown shyness. Once reaching full maturity, The leaves of SCP - XXXX manifested in a orange red like colour. The Acorns of the ‘oak tree’ Has a film of a, quote, “goopy mess” as described by one of the D-Class test subjects. Under closer inspection this film, which will be further referred to as SCP-XXXX-1-India was discovered to be, not a cure, but an evolved version of the given vaccine. Testing on the goo resulted in hallucination and dehydration in great quantities. The film of said nut was so potent that simply being in contact with it, almost immediately caused contamination and illness to any poor sod to have touched it without protection. The new Virus is now deemed a Super Virus, and any instances of SCP-XXXX-1- India is now housed in the heavy containment zone on site [redacted]’s virology research wing.
Resulting plant status : Stored, contained in site [redacted] under further investigation.
Additional notes : “I think it’s safe to say that virus and disease based testing on SCP-XXXX will need O5 approval in all likelihood following this.” - Dr Miller.

Document : SCP-XXXX testing log : 19

Dr. Miller : “D-24235, you are to ingest the capsules before you on the table as per your briefing prior to your entry to the room, The capsules are on the table in front of you, begin when you are ready.”

D-24235 : “To be honest… compared to death row, drug testing for a month doesn’t seem to bad.”

D-24235 : “So…I just, swallow’em quickly and get it over with?”

At this point D-24235 followed the instructions prior and ingested the ten seed capsules available, ingesting them without incident, subject complaining about a dryness of mouth, subject is informed that food and water will be provided one hour after initial ingestion in order to prevent potential contamination of data, subject complains but resigned themselves to waiting.

Test time 1 hours 0 minutes.

Dr. Miller : “D-24235, are you experiencing any discomfort or sensations you would describe as abnormal?”

D-24235 doesn’t respond to the question for approximately five minutes, subject groaning against the wall before suddenly ceasing said sounds of discomfort and responding to the questioning.

D-24235 : “It’s… it’s nothin, just stings a bit inside my guts is all, probably them pills, what they supposed to do anyhow?”

Dr. Miller : “I’m not at liberty to discuss that with you D-24235, you stated you’re feeling a stinging sensation, can you elaborate on that please?”

D-24235 : “Sure… it’s… it’s like a pressure when you’ve ate too much but it’s in the wrong place, it’s… not pleasant to be honest.”

Dr. Miller : “Understood, inform me if this changes suddenly or something else occurs, food and water will be provided shortly.”

D-24235 is noted to have a sharp increase in morale as a food tray is introduced into the test chamber, food consisting of a bowl of standard branded tomato soup with an additional 2 slices of brown bread, unbuttered as well as a glass of water. Subject devours provided nutrition and hydration and takes a seat against the wall of the chamber.

Test time : 6 hours 17 minutes

D-24235 : “D-doc it just got a…a hell of a lot worse…”

Dr. Miller : “Clarify what you mean D-24235, worse how?”

D-24235 : “Something in my throat… it’s been building for a while but it just got a hell of a lot sharper, same with that full like feeling in my guts, I… I ain’t gonna die from this am I Doc?”

Dr. Miller : “Unlikely, try to get some sleep, if needed painkillers may be approved, no promises though.”

D-24235 is seen huddling on provided mattress rolling and groaning for an addition 3 hours before movement ceased, during this time D-24235 was seen cursing and asking for the painkillers he was informed about, this was discussed with senior researcher Green and was declined, D-24235 did not respond well to being informed that the prospects of painkillers were, declined.

Test time : 10 hours 28 minutes.

D-24235 ceases responding to any and all prompts to respond and is confirmed dead 10 hours 28 minutes after ingestion of the samples of SCP-XXXX, observation period continues for a further hour before movement is seen in D-24235’s jaw, the subject’s mouth seen to be opening slowly, flora seen within matching no known types of leaf pattern, it’s to be noted that approximately 2 hours after the emergence of the plant produced from SCP-XXXX from the subject’s mouth, an additional series of stalks and leaves are seen pushing out of the inside of the subject’s jumpsuit around the legs, it’s theorized that the plants have filled the entire of the deceased D-24235’s digestive tract and have emerged from both ends.

Test time : 27 hours 0 minutes

Plants emerged from D-24235 are seen changing shape from unknown leave type to humanoid head shaped bulb like growths, said growths are seen seemingly sniffing the remains of D-24235’s corpse periodically for 10 minutes before tearing off sections of the exposed flesh, bulbs unable to access exposed flesh begin to drip fluid from their eye sockets onto the jumpsuit D-24235 was wearing, said fluid appears to be dissolving the fabric and is suspected to be highly acidic in nature.

Test time : 35 hours 14 minutes

SCP-XXXX plants have consumed all available flesh and organs of D-24235 and are seen gnawing at the bones of D-24235, these plants are noted to show no damage to the bones they’re chewing at, no additional changes are noted for the remainder of the experiment, a brief pause is taken in which it’s discussed if resulting plants produced should be terminated or kept for further study.

Test time : 72 hours 3 minutes

D-24236 is sent into the test chamber with the instructions to interact with the plant flora inside, D-24236 appears hesitant, however upon entering the chamber the plants in question change in behavior from gnawing on the remains of D-24235 to turning their attention completely to D-24236, D-24236 attempts to exit the chamber only to find the exit locked upon their entry, the resulting SCP-XXXX are seen to drag themselves along the floow working together towards D-24236 whilst spitting acidic compounds at D-24236, after approximately 20 minutes of this behavior D-24236 was cornered by the build of of acidic compound and devoured by the SCP-XXXX entity, following this the decision for termination was made and the SCP-XXXX entity was incinerated.
