Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Only under testing conditions should it come into contact with other SCP. The item is to be stored in a standard containment locker, distanced at least two (2) metres from any other anomalous artifact containment units.

Any researcher of Level 3 clearance may conduct experiments on the nature of this anomaly, providing that any other SCP involved have also been approved for the research.

Description: Relocated to Site 19 in 2006 for long-term storage after investigation into its anomalous effects had been concluded.

SCP-XXXX is a small dull metal disc showing oxidisation consistent with age, exhibiting no unusual physical properties besides a small hole burned into its centre via unknown means. It consists of mainly iron, copper, and cobalt, with trace amounts of other transition metals.

At all times, the disc produces spherical area surrounding it, roughly two (2) metres in diametre, in which other anomalous properties do not take effect. This 'field of effect' has proven to negate all anomalies during testing as of the date of writing (see test logs for greater detail); however, the field's negating effect weakens on any one SCP the more it's exposed to it.

SCP-XXXX was created in September, 2002, during extensive testing of SCP-914. Originally observed as having no anomalous properties, it was moved to miscellaneous storage on-site, alongside other items produced during testing. Its anomalous properties were later discovered after the Site Director ordered a log of all items in on-site miscellaneous storage after Incident 77k.
