Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5410 is to be kept within a 1m x 1m x 1m airtight steel-plated cube at all times. Any forms of rust, breakage in the cube’s structure or overseeing personnel reporting auditory hallucinations is to be reported to the appropriate personnel immediately. SCP-5410’s cell is to be checked weekly for the aforementioned issues.

All personnel guarding SCP-5410’s containment are to wear noise-cancelling headphones and are only allowed to remove them if approximately 10 meters away.

Any photographs, recordings, or visual media containing SCP-5410 or SCP-5410-A is to be destroyed immediately to avoid any further complications. SCP-5410’s containment cube is to be monitored by 24/7 surveillance and any changes to SCP-5410’s containment cube is to be reported to site command immediately. Overseeing personnel must stay within the observation room approximately 20 meters from SCP-5410’s containment cube as to not be affected.

Description: SCP-5410 is a burnt photograph, the photograph itself having the features of a white, tall, pale, and slightly malnourished elderly male named ███████. If anyone views SCP-5410 directly, then they will begin to transform into the eldered man on SCP-5410. During this transformation, test subjects have been observed to not require any sustenance or rest for approximately 48 hours. After 48 hours the subject has turned pale and has very little muscle-mass left.

Then the subject will begin to grow a beard and go into a state of paralysis for 3-5 minutes. When the transformation is complete, the subject will look identical to the man presented on SCP-5410, as well as have their memories and personality partially overwritten with those of ███████. These instances are labeled as SCP-5410-A. When SCP-5410-A comes into contact with anyone living, it will cause the person it came into contact with to also turn into an instance of SCP-5410-A. SCP-5410-A proceeds to talk with the nearest person, the conversations recorded have been of SCP-5410-A trying to talk to personnel about [REDACTED], which, due to an anomalous effect, makes the person disoriented, usually inadvertently showing the person SCP-5410.
