Special Containment Procedures: The containment chamber of SCP XXXX is to be monitored at all times. No personnel below clearance level 4 are permitted to be informed of up to 60% of information surrounding the nature of SCP XXXX. Information regarding the nature of SCP XXXX is regarded as info-hazardous and proper protocols are to be maintained at all times.

No more than 2 personnel should observe SCP-XXXX at any time for the well-being of the anomaly.

SCP XXXX is to be kept within standard humanoid containment chambers equipped with a window with any or all of the following testing equipment: Live Video Surveillance, Playback Video Surveillance, Standard Photography Cameras, Infrared Cameras, and/or Audio Surveillance equipment.

SCP XXXX is to be fed humanoid rations consistent with feeding times, provided with running water and a lavatory station.

Description: SCP XXXX is an affliction which affects one victim at a time. When an individual sees SCP XXXX, they will view SCP XXXX in a different physical appearance than other observers. Photographs, video recordings, live feeds, audio transmissions and infrared cameras will also yield a different physical or auditory appearance.

Tests have shown that each individual's instance of SCP XXXX will present identical tactile, odour, physical appearance and behaviour as expected for that form. When SCP XXXX is an inanimate object, subjects report the form remains stationary even sometime after SCP XXXX is no longer in the area. After some time the inanimate form will disappear from said location and will reappear relevant to where SCP XXXX is currently located.

Discovery
SCP XXXX was obtained by the foundation in the wake of Site-103's opening. During the night, following the importation of a new SCP to the site, Security Personnel Michael Smidt noticed an oak tree (of the genus Quercus) inside of containment cell 162. The containment chamber was closed and locked and security teams were dispatched to analyse the situation. Debate sparked after teams attempted to define what resided in the containment chamber.

Interview SCP XXXX - 1 was initiated soon after containment was assured. Junior researcher Dr. Jonathon Ingram conducted the interview, as he viewed SCP XXXX as a 26 year old brunette female. Interview was conducted behind a bulletproof glass window situated in the containment chamber.

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Good afternoon, I am Dr. Jonathon Ingram. I have a couple questions, if you don't mind. Who are you? How did you find our site?"
SCP XXXX: "Ellie."

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Ellie? Just Ellie? Do you have a last name?"

[SCP XXXX remains silent.]

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Okay…How did you find our site?"

[SCP-XXXX shrugs.]

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "I'm going to need a better answer than that."

SCP-XXXX: "Confused."

DR. Jonathon Ingram: "You're confused?"

SCP-XXXX: "Lost."

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Lost? Okay. Why did you come here?"

SCP-XXXX: "Want."

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "What do you want?"

SCP-XXXX: "Death."

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Whose Death?"

SCP-XXXX: "Please."

The following meeting between Dr. Jonathon Ingram, Site Director Thomas Rook and security personnel was recorded and is displayed below:

Thomas Rook: "So you're telling me this entity just went into a containment chamber and willingly allowed us to contain it?"

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Yes sir. And in fact, it's been rather cooperative too."

Thomas Rook: "Did you manage to figure out how it got in?"

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "No sir. It doesn't communicate much. So far only speaking one word at a time."

Thomas Rook: "Interesting. I haven't been able to look at the files yet, could you give me an overview?"

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Primary anomalous effect: Entity displays as a different, non-anomalous, object or creature for every individual on every form of perception. No other anomalous affects have been noted as of yet."

Thomas Rook: "Fascinating. May we see?"

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Of course."

[Dr. Jonathon Ingram opens the window shutter in the observation room.]

Playback cameras show SCP-XXXX sitting in a chair just before the incident occurred. Once Dr. Jonathon Ingram opened the window shutters, all personnel who viewed SCP-XXXX as an animate object viewed SCP-XXXX fall out of the chair and begin to scream, convulse and writhe on the floor of the containment chamber.

Dr. Jonathon Ingram and Thomas Rook reacted quickly by contacting site medical staff. Medical staff arrived quickly and were granted access to the containment room. Upon entering, SCP-XXXX's screams and convulsions only worsened until SCP-XXXX lost consciousness. Medical staff attempted to give morphine, but as none of the staff members saw a human entity, they vacated the cell and proceeded to wait outside the cell in case SCP-XXXX was to wake again and still require medical aid.

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "We're not sure sir. This is the first time this has happened."

Thomas Rook: "Can I see the documents of C162?"

[Dr. Jonathon Ingram hands Thomas Rook his tablet and he began to read.]

Thomas Rook: "…Ellie…"

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Do you recognize that name, sir?"

Thomas Rook: "My daughter is named Ellie. She went missing 1 month ago…"

[The room falls silent for a moment]

Thomas Rook: "Would everyone here be able to give me one moment with Ingram, please."

[All staff in the room proceed to leave]

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "Sir?"

Thomas Rook: "Ingram, I can't shake the feeling that my daughter is on the other side of this window. If she is, then I've become personally attached to this situation to make clear, level-headed decisions. You currently know the most about this entity, I want you to take charge if it is her. If this situation happened to any of my men, I'd assign them off the project. I should hold myself to the same standards."

Dr. Jonathon Ingram: "I will sir. Let's just hope it's not her."

Post Incident Notes: Following this incident, it was noted that all attending staff heard a faint human scream regardless of the entity they observed seeing. Further research into this incident will be coming soon. SCP-XXXX also made a full recovery and reports only feeling fatigue from the incident.

Dr. Jonathon Ingram seized testing for 24 hours following Incident XXXX - 1 to allow for the full recovery of SCP-XXXX. During this time, SCP headquarter officials responded to the files sent and C162 was hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX.

Pre-Test Note From Dr. Jonathon Ingram: Something in Incident - XXXX - 1 bothered me. I didn't understand why SCP-XXXX's state deteriorated further after Medical staff entered the room. I would like to know why it happened.

Hypothesis: SCP-XXXX is affected when personnel enter the containment chamber.

Procedure: SCP-XXXX will be given a sheet of paper with 4 boxes on it. Each box has a correlated phrase attached to it: "No pain, Some pain, A lot of pain, Extreme Pain". SCP-XXXX will also be given a marker and will fill in the correlated box after each test. Test will concluded after Extreme pain occurs more than 3 times or a link between Incident XXXX-1 is found.

Addendum XXXX - 1

On September 19th, 2019, Project Leader Dr. Jonathon Ingram conducted a test with SCP-XXXX. During this test, and incident occurred with resulted in the loss of Dr. Jonathon Ingram. Information surrounding the test, incident report and medical report have been restricted to all personnel below level 4 as the information is regarded as info-hazardous.

Test results from Test XXXX - 1 are also to be regarded as outdated and new results will be released upon the completion of testing.
