Special Containment Procedures: All computers affected by SCP-XXXX are to be stored in a 30m x 40m x 10m room, which must be cooled to 23 degrees celcius at all times. The CPU's of all computers affected by SCP-XXXX must not be allowed to exceed a temperature of 45 degrees celcius. Upon manifestation, instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be located by a unit of MTF Lambda-4 ("Birdwatchers") and contained at Site-██ terminated. Upon the beginning of Ju██ 19th, embedded Foundation agents and Foundation bots are to view for reports of SCP-XXXX on all forums and social medias and alert MTF Lambda-4 if SCP-XXXX is detected. Any tests involving SCP-XXXX must first be approved by two (2) level 3 personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a bot protection test developed by the Google-owned company 'reCAPTCHA' believed to have been developed between 2014 and 20██. SCP-XXXX has a standard format of an image identification protection test. Including text instructing the user on what to do, nine (9) squares below containing a compiled image shared between them, a singular square showing what to select within the nine (9) squares, a verification selector and buttons to report a problem, skip the test, play an audio test, and request information.
SCP-XXXX randomly spreads to a computer running Windows 7 OS or greater, where it prompts the user, henseforth named SCP-XXXX-1-A, to "Select all squares with a place to hide". The nine (9) squares underneath the prompt display the room which SCP-XXXX-1-A and their computer, now named SCP-XXXX-1-B, reside in. SCP-XXXX-1-A has not yet been seen in any of these images. Any attempts to report, gain information about, skip, listen to the audio test, or exit the test are met with an error. Upon selecting and verifying a square or squares, SCP-XXXX-1-B immediately shuts down, with all attempts to restart it failing, and SCP-XXXX-2 manifests 5km from SCP-XXXX-1-B.
