Containment Procedure:
The nature of SCP-XXXX prevents it from being contained in a confined area, instead, personnel are to continuously monitor possible theme parks in the United States SCP-XXXX can manifest in.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a bipedal mascot suit that stands at approximately five (5) feet and six (6) inches tall. The suit itself is reminiscent of a panthera leo with exaggerated, cartoon-inspired features. SCP-XXXX seems to be made of fabric, felt, with small traces of human tissue infused in the fabric. The mascot suit seems to be weighted and possesses physical strength on par with that of an average, adult, humanoid male. It is unknown if a different entity separate to SCP-XXXX inhabits the mascot suit, if SCP-XXXX acts on its own accord, or what is present inside of the suit.
Instances of SCP-XXXX are seen at any given United States theme park in the month of July every five (5) years, with the day of its appearance seeming to be chosen at random. It is unlikely that SCP-XXXX enters and exits the parks through conventional methods, as all reports indicate that it appears and disappears in the theme park without any residue, trailing, or general traces. All witnesses that are physically present within the park state that SCP-XXXX was attending before they arrived, and any witnesses that are present by means of digital surveillance say that SCP-XXXX was there before they began monitoring.
The behavior of SCP-XXXX begins with it remaining in a stationary position at any given, yet open area of the theme park. It remains motionless and stands in a non-expressive manner, completely still. Whenever a child under the age of thirteen (13) enters within a four (4) meter radius of SCP-XXXX, the mascot suit will aggressively grab the child's left or right forearm (depending on which side is more accessible to SCP-XXXX) and will immediately begin to forcibly walk to the opposite side of the theme park with the captive child. All signs of suspicion from those above the age of thirteen (13) will cease to exist whenever the age group witnesses SCP-XXXX's abnormal behavior, as all witnesses of that age group will be unable to recollect what occurred during or after SCP-XXXX begins processing. This abnormal loss of memory and acknowledgement still occurs if the child grabbed by SCP-XXXX is vocalizing or gesturing that they are distressed. Due to this memory loss, all researchers must interview all individuals that are under the age of thirteen (13) that witnessed the event.
