OBJECT CLASS: Safe.
SPECIAL CONTAMINATION PROCEDURES: SCP 0875 is to be contained at all times in a bulletproof glass container filled with [READACTED]. It does not need camera supervision, however audio must be recorded at all times. During tests, class 3 and above member scientists are allowed to watch the test via video feed. A medical unit should also be present in the hallway outside of 0875’s containment zone.
OBJECT DESCRIPTION: SCP 0875 is a rock, around 3ft x 4ft x 4ft. It is currently made out of an unknown substance. SCP 0875 is currently indestructible, attempts by Dr.[REDACTED] and Dr.[REDACTED] have shown that it is capable of telepathy. When a human touches it. The rock sends telepathic messages to the brain. These messages have been described by individuals who touched the rock as “enlightenment” or “third eye”. They claim they have unlocked the secrets of the universe. However, not all results end this way. With younger subjects, they seem to have total brain shut down, resulting in almost instant death. This is believed to be an overload of information, so much the brain fails.
When asked what the rock told them, subjects claim that once they stopped touching the rock, they lost all recollection of what it told them. However, they are insistent that the rock gave them the “truth”. A test done by Dr.[REDACTED] showed that when subjects that had touched the rock were placed in the same cells, without knowing each other has touched the rock (the scp foundation does not allow class D subject to talk about past tests) the subjects had grown very strong friendships, much more than other subjects who were placed in the same cell. Dr.[REDACTED] claims the rock unites people who touch the rock, and suggests that the rock could be used to build armies, and unite nations. This was deemed a theory. The rock was found outside of [REDACTED], and has shown no resemblance to any culture. Attempts by the Chaos Insurgency to capture SCP 0875 have not been made.
