Special Containment Procedures:

1-1: SCP-5767 must be contained in a single exit room, with no windows or other points of access besides another closed off entrance way.

1-3-1: There must be multiple backups systems in case of failure for the facial recognition system.

SCP-4768

Description:

Lab results have confirmed that SCP-4768 is a mask carved from a maple tree. The effect of SCP-4768 causes all those above the age of 5 (unconditioned) to immediately disregard the physical existence of the object upon seeing it. This is also true for mental images. An entire description is as follows, although knowing all details will cause a person to immediately forget everything about SCP-4768.

Physical Characteristics:
1. The frame of the mask is [EXPUNGED] shaped.
2. There are [EXPUNGED] holes in the mask, six for [EXPUNGED], another two bellow [EXPUNGED], and three elongated vertical lines for [EXPUNGED].
3. The outside border [EXPUNGED] with SCP-4768 - 1.

SCP-4768 was discovered in the town [EXPUNGED] in northern Alaska, United States in [EXPUNGED]. A farmer had dug up a grave of settlers who had died during the winter. Unknowingly, the farmer had also uncovered SCP-4768. A call was made to the police by the farmer3 the next day with the farmer overly concerned about SCP-4767.

A week after the SCP foundation landed in [EXPUNGED] and retrieved SCP-4768, the farmer, his son, and the sheriff disappeared and were wiped from all records.

SCP-4768 - 1

Along the [EXPUNGED] of SCP-4768 is a [EXPUNGED] that is believed to be SCP-4768 - 1. In order to get any understandable visual information of SCP-4768, small images were taken of individual parts and then transferred to black and white to not be influenced by SCP-4768 - 2. The [EXPUNGED] of SCP-4768 is a 2D pattern that has the same effect as SCP-4768 as a whole. Any form of SCP-4768 - 1 results in the completely removing the existence of whatever the pattern is on from the viewers mind, as well as becoming extremely susceptible to influence.

SCP-4768 - 2

SCP-4768 is coated in SCP-4768 - 2, a paint with a colour that does not exist within the known colour spectrum. When viewed, SCP-4768 - 2 has the same properties as SCP-4768 - 1 and SCP-4768.

Using autonomous software to recognize SCP-4768 - 2, the foundation has found [EXPUNGED] buildings coated with SCP-4768 - 2 in notable locations, including government properties, previously thought inhabitable locations, and [EXPUNGED]. The autonomous software has also noticed many inconsistencies with its geological view of the planet and our records. This includes unknown islands, extra land on continents, and an entire undiscovered continent in [EXPUNGED]. Future tests will have the software run through non-terrestrial information.

SCP-4768 - 3

Using all of the known information of SCP-4768, there noticeable evidence pointing towards a separate [EXPUNGED] of people that are monitoring all of us. They take great effort to hide their existence, including conditioning every human above the age of five to ignore anything associated with the existence of SCP-4768, SCP-4768 - 1, and SCP-4768 - 2, as well as enter an obedient trance like state in their presence. While SCP-4768 seems to be safe in nature, it is SCP-4768 - 3 that makes the matter incredibly concerning.

The highly likely existence of SCP-4768 - 3 is the reason for the containment measures for SCP-4768. It is believed SCP-4768 - 3 will eventually come to retrieve SCP-4768, and all memory of it will be erased. It is for this reason that keeping SCP-4768 secure is incredibly crucial.

Addendum: 4768-a Farmer's Phone Call

Phone Transcript:
[Sheriff] Sheriff [EXPUNGED] speaking.
[Farmer] I think I’m losing my mind sir. You see, I dug up these bones the other day when I was rotating crops and… Well I found this thing, and I don’t know who to call about this sort of thing.
[Sheriff] Now calm down, let’s get this straight. Were these human bones you dug up?
[Farmer] Y- Yes. But that’s not it.
[Sheriff] Are you sure they were human bones?
[Farmer] No, n- no, no no no no no no. Listen please, that’s not it.
Note: The farmer begins to become frantic in speech.
[Sheriff] Now plea-
[Farmer] Listen I found this thing and I don’t know what to do. I.. I think it’s a mask, but it kinda looks [EXPUNGED]. No, it looks [EXPUNGED]. No that’s not right either. I think it’s [EXPUNGED], it’s definitely [EXPUNGED]! It wasn’t before, but now it is, the longer I look at it the more I can [EXPUNGED].
[Sheriff] Sir. Take a long breath, close your eyes, and tell it to me straight.
[Farmer] No I can’t, I can’t! I can’t look away! I forget if I do, everyone does. But no, i can breathe, I need to breathe. Alright. It’s [EXPUNGED]. But I can’t look at it directly, like i have to keep it in the corner of my eye.

[Son] Daddy how did you get that mask?
[Farmer] You can see this?!
[Sheriff] Sir if you’re not going to tell me why you are calling I’m going to hang up.
[Farmer] I’ve already told you! Aren’t you listening?
[Sheriff] I just picked up the phone, you haven't said a word…
[Son] Daddy they don’t like that you have that.
[Farmer] What?!
