Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4390 is to be locked in a 1 decimeter cubed box, which is then to be locked with a padlock with the combination given only to staff with no children (biological or adopted), and the lock is to be changed each time one of the above staff has or adopts a child. SCP-4390's containment must be guarded by a single armed guard at all times. Subjects that try to take SCP-4390 must be stopped and apprehended. SCP-4390 is never to be handled in any way by anyone with children. SCP-4390 is to be currently stored at Site-███.

Description: SCP-4390 is a 6 cm long, 3 cm high, and 3 cm wide carving of a Loxodonta africana, or African Elephant. The wood body of the elephant appears to be oak, with the tusks made of opal. All attempts to damage or deteriorate SCP-4390 in any way has been met with failure. SCP-4390 has also shown no signs of sapience or a discernable age.
SCP-4390 main anomalous properties is it's effect on human beings with children that come into direct contact with SCP-4390. Anyone with biological or adopted children that touches SCP-4390 will lose all control over their body with the exception of their eyes, but retain full cognitive function, and begin to exhibit SCP-4390's effects, classified as SCP-4390-1. Subjects only need to touch SCP-4390 once in order to become SCP-4390-1, which's effects are then duplicated onto the subject's spouse. Instances of divorce or estrangement seem to break the duplication effect, however. No cure for SCP-4390-1 has yet to be found.
Instances of SCP-4390-1 will retain normal appearances, and will not display abnormal behavior when in the presence of anyone over 18 years of age. However, when SCP-4390-1 is in the presence of its children, SCP-4390-1 will become manipulative and socially abusive, attempting to isolate it's children while in the presence of children. When SCP-4390-1 believes no one is watching with the exception of other SCP-4390-1s, SCP-4390-1 will then become incredibly neglectful, physically, psychologically, and sexually abusive, attacking their children in many violent ways. SCP-4390-1's eyes grow wide and show signs of fear or horror, showing the subject is completely aware. These effects will persist until SCP-4390-1 expires naturally or all of its children reach 18 years of age, where the subject will then experience a violent seizure, and then expire, killing the host subject.

Addendum SCP-4390-1: SCP-4390 came into Foundation custody when Researcher ██████ discovered that his children were showing extreme signs of domestic abuse, and requested that an Agent check on his ex-wife. Upon investigation, Researcher ██████'s ex-wife had become an instance of SCP-4390-1, and had SCP-4390 on her person. When an agent came into contact with SCP-4390, said agent became a similar instance. Agent ████ then took SCP-4390, and as Agent ████ lacked children, they were unaffected. The Foundation apprehended both instances of SCP-4390-1, and upon failing to find a cure, terminated both subjects. Researcher ██████ was then commended for his reporting of the incident, and his children were administered amnestics.
