Special Containment Procedures: Due to the effects between SCP-5XXX and SCP-5XXX-A, as of yet, there are no special containment procedures taken only to SCP-5XXX. Testings are undergoing to prevent the general population from noticing the whereabouts on the instances of SCP-5XXX-1.

SCP-5XXX-A is to be contained in a secured containment cell in Site-17. Personnel with security level 3 or higher are allowed access to communicate with SCP-5XXX-A for purposes such as future studies, research, or historical events. If the intentions are to study the background of a specified SCP, they are to apply a private form of approval from the head of the research staff, assigning the said SCP. Interactions with SCP-5XXX-A must be accompanied by two (2) armed guards as any hostile attempts from SCP-5XXX-A is to be detained. Possible attempts from personnel revealing Foundation privacy or information that is classified as restricted will be extracted by the guards and are given amnestics, further prohibited from accessing SCP-5XXX-A.

Description: SCP-5XXX refers to the phenomenon leading to the disappearance and irrecoverable nature of materials consisting of liquid pigments, specifically ink when former possessors are unable to recall it, discarded or considered to be lost. The aforementioned materials are designated as SCP-5XXX-1 and are said to manifest SCP-5XXX-A as the entity's form of cognition appointed to a presumed organization. The effects of SCP-5XXX will occur when instances of SCP-5XXX-1 have been used for writing; how SCP-5XXX-A is capable of obtaining this ability and how such a phenomenon occurs is unknown. The result can, however, be countered if a subject is provided with a mnemonic device and is planned to retrieve the material until further notice.

SCP-5XXX-A is a blind tripodal entity measuring roughly 2.19 meters and weighs 155 kilograms. Despite its appearance seemingly metallic, the entirety of its body is covered with a clinging substance similar to standard black ink possessing minor gaps as if it were roughly sketched1. A damaged garment resembling a fabric-like texture is worn around and covering its luminescent gray-dotted eyes to the bottom center of its mouth. It is capable of speech in a fatuous manner and refers to itself as being multiple making use of plural pronouns (e.g., we, our, us) in any point of view, but in replacement of "The Allegiance Unto Nidas." Although investigations are ongoing, if such an organization exists, the entity seems to keep it imprecise seemingly to make it confidential. The origins of SCP-5XXX-A are unknown, whether it has originated from a different universe or an alternate dimension as it claims it has no memory on how it existed nor created outside the effects of SCP-5XXX. (See Interview Log 5XXX-3)

Under the anomalous effects of SCP-5XXX-1, SCP-5XXX-A has been capable to do the following: decipher any form of paleography, identify each possessor who has held the material, and recall but only limited to, early written texts around 26th century B.C.2 to over the course of time, which indicates its awareness about the Foundation's existence as well as the anomalies in containment and presences of a minority of SCPs. The entity claims it is aware of infohazards in particular and is immune to memetic effects when acknowledged. However, if asked about SCPs that require to be deciphered because of an unknown language or tests to observe if the mentioned SCP's effects will occur, the entity rejects further.

Addendum 5XXX-1:
Discovery:
Date:
10/6/2017

SCP-5XXX-A was discovered near the Ross Sea, Antarctica, below 431 meters underwater by a remotely operated vehicle intended for sea explorations. Researcher Matthew happened to be working undercovered with the exploration team eavesdropping about sightings of a large metal species of a pycnogonida4 with a humanoid upper body and immediately contacted Foundation personnel near the vicinity. This was followed by Foundation agents giving the exploration team Class-A amnestics5and were instructed to relocate away from the perimeter of the extraction of SCP-5XXX-A. Upon emerging to the surface, SCP-5XXX-A stated that it expected The Foundation's arrival and was posing no signs of resistance or hostility.
