Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5065 is not to be without some form of observation for more than 1 continuous hour. Additionally, it is not to be under observation for more than four continuous hours at a time, and thus there is to be a 30 minute interval between observations, during which point the windows of its containment cell are not to be opened at any time. When under direct observation, SCP-5065 is not to be directly observed by more than 2 people. Any more will activate its anomalous properties. SCP-5065 can otherwise be contained within a standard class-5.
SCP-5065 appears willing to remain in its containment, and so long as it does so, it is to be granted access to 1 book of its choice per month, written no later than 1945.
SCP-5065 has a dietary requirement of exactly 14 pounds of raw human meat per week, and does not require sustenance in any other form, although it is to be given 1 pound of cooked venison per week upon request, unless as punishment for disobeying its containment procedures.
To maintain its containment, SCP-5065’s containment cell is to be monitored by guards armed with flamethrowers from a range of 10 feet. Additionally, the ceiling within 10 feet of the entrance of its cell is to be lined with tubes, which can be opened to release carbon disulfide onto the entity, at which point the guards will ignite the entity.
Description:
SCP-5065 has the appearance of an 8 foot tall caucasian male, of apparently English descent. It possesses a pair of leathery wings emerging from below its shoulder blades, with a wingspan of 21 feet. These wings are capable of folding in on themselves, reducing their overall width to 3 feet per wing. SCP-5065 also possesses a skin which is resistant to harm from firearms, yet shows no resistance to incendiary weapons.
SCP-5065’s anomalous properties show when it is unobserved for more than 1 hour, or observed for more than four. At this point, solids within 10 feet of SCP-5065 will begin to morph into a substance with a similar colouration to obsidian. Additionally, liquids within 10 feet of the entity will turn into a fluid with similar chemical properties to petroleum, yet has an ignition temperature of 80 degrees centigrade.
5065 is to be allowed access to conversation with researchers via intercom. However, they are not allowed to discuss events after 1945, except by referring to them as works of fiction.
Addendum:
SCP-5065 was recovered from a cult ritual which occurred in the welsh town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in 2020, yet does not possess any knowledge of events which have occurred past 1945, and believes that the world has fallen into destruction. This illusion is to be maintained, and even encouraged. D-class personnel are to be cuffed and masked when sent into its containment, so that they do not reveal the true state of the world. If the entity discovers the truth of the world, it is to be administered class-G amnestics immediately, and the illusion reconstructed.
