Item #: SCP - 3597
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP - 3597 is to be kept within a 10x10x10 meter room with a small airlock door, used only for entry. 3597 is housed on Site - ███ and may be visited by level 2 personnel, but is more commonly associated with the 05 branch. Inside of the room, one small work desk fitted with a miniature lamp will be placed, as well as a comfortable chair for seating. Researchers do not need any special equipment other than a pen for the testing of SCP - 3597, unless told otherwise.
Description: 3597 is a small red composition notebook, consisting of plain college ruled paper inside. Upon first inspection, 3597 appears to be completely normal, however, no physical harm can be conducted on 3597, unless it is exposed to extreme heat, more closely linked with fire. When an individual is to write inside of 3597, 3597 responds back in broken English, as text written in black ink will seemingly appear. After reading the text, and closing SCP - 3597, all writings inside of SCP - 3597 will vanish, and it will return to a brand new state, as if the notebook came right off the store shelves.
Addendum: On ████/█/2005, Researcher Dr. Smith conducted a test that involved asking SCP - 3597 "What it was."
Test 1 - ████/█/2005
Subject: SCP - 3597
Procedure: Dr. Smith is to open SCP - 3597 to its first and page and write "What are you?"
Results: SCP - 3597 did not respond for a full minute, until writing the following under Smith's question: "Iam thE bRidgg bItwin ur worlds, wHat yoU say to mE Is WhAt yOu SaY to ThOsE oN the othErsIde."
Anylisis: SCP - 3597 references itself as a "bridge between our worlds," and that anything we say to it "is what we say to those on the other-side." These words have been noted, and sending valuable Foundation information to SCP - 3597 has now been strictly Prohibited.
Addendum: On July/█/2010, Dr. Smith had left the Notebook open for several months, only to find that SCP - 3597 Was writing out full documents of Foundation materiel and sending it to what it calls "The Other-side." Dr. Smith halted all operations and asked SCP - 3597 what it was doing, text appeared on the next page simply saying, "Your wOrld wil lek into there's, They R not ready, They ned our hlp be4 the time cums." Dr. Smith, regarding its advice, set up an information program to discreetly send information over to SCP - 3597's second world, as long as the inhabitants believe it to be fiction, written by an author. The intent is to educate its people, for when the time comes that such a containment breach would happen." How or in what form this information is sent over is unknown. All we know is that its there.
