ShadowSlayer09 | SCP-8543

Item #: SCP-8543

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8543 is to be kept inside a steel chamber atleast 55 meters underground with 5m thick walls surrounding it. SCP-8543 must stay atleast 50 meters away from all other SCP's at all times following the "Klemat event". No personnel under level 5 clearance shall have access to SCP-8543 without direct contact with a level 5 researcher. SCP-8543 must be under constant surveillance including but not limited to: Video, audio, heat vision, temperature and weight. Hydrochloric Acid must be ready to be released onto the cell floor at all times, it should be refilled without having to enter the cell.

Description: SCP-8543 is an extremely hostile shape shifter, over months of research we have established a "base" form. SCP-8543's base form is spherical in shape, it has a radius of 0.5m and is a shiny, translucent white; similar to that of a marble. SCP-8543 in its base form seems almost impossible to destroy without getting close enough for SCP-8543 to fight back. SCP-8543 can only transform into something in a 50 meter radius and works on anything, living or not, this makes SCP-8543 dangerous if in range of another SCP. When SCP-8543 shapeshift's into something it gains the powers the target had, for example, as a worst case scenario, SCP-8543 could transform into SCP-5775, Deimos, and expand inside his cell, crushing the walls and killing everyone who was too close. SCP-8543 is considered alive and incredibly smart. If SCP-8543 is killed in a different form, it will return to its base form and lay dormant for 3 hours, until after when it will react aggrivated for a few more hours. When a researcher is talking to SCP-8543, it can shape shift into the researcher and talk back to him. It uses its abilities and intelligence to further it's goals of which are unknown at the moment.

when SCP-8543 first arrived at site-19 and was being tested, it was stored on the surface with other SCP's. SCP-8543 was deemed safe and remained on the surface until the "Kelamt event". The Kelmat event was on ██/██/████ when a researcher spotted SCP-049 inside the cell, hunched over a wooden table, facing away from the room's camera. The researcher immediately sent agents in to secure SCP-049 away from SCP-8543, which was presumed to be on the table. When the agents entered the room, they found the usual scene of SCP-8543 in the center of the room. When they turned to view the camera, SCP-8543 transformed into SCP-173 and immediately killed all of the agents in the room. With the door open, SCP-8543 breached containment and began a rampage through the facility, shape shifting into multiple SCP's and even shape shifting into researchers with high clearance to open doors that required hand prints. SCP-8543 was eventually recaptured when it shape shifted into SCP-070 and, what we assumed, tried an attempt to take it's own life as it screamed out in pain and then pierced itself with it's chains.

SCP-8543 since then has been acting aggressively, but intelligently. SCP-8543 will periodically transform into bugs that are digging in the dirt outside it's cell and try to cover it's cell in as much dirt and blood as it can. When someone comes to clean the cell, the SCP will transform into them and try to kill them. If a D-Class enters, SCP-8543 will be evenly matched against them, however, as SCP-8543 is so smart it seems to alwase win. If a guard goes, the SCP-8543 will also obtain all weaponry the guard has. The only way we currently have to combat SCP-8543 is hydrochloric acid that we can cover the cell floor in if it shape shifts, as this will prevent SCP-8543 from shape shifting for another three hours.

In the future, no new tests should be ran on SCP-8543. Termination of SCP-8543 seems impossible at the moment as SCP-8543 will take the form of any SCP we use to terminate it. Entry of SCP-8543's cell should be kept to a minimum. SCP-8543's abilities could be useful if harnessed correctly. Contact to SCP-8543 from high clearance researchers will continue to see if SCP-8543 is willing to negotiate and help us out at the SCP Foundation.
