Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to remain within a standard humanoid living containment area with all instances of XXXX-1. A single gaurd is to remain outside containment entrance at all times and personnel, outside of XXXX-1, are to follow "White-Noise Protocol" before entering. Any personnel may be allowed to exit containment area without possession of SCP-XXXX.
White-Noise Protocol:
All personnel must wear noise-cancelling headphones, with any continuous sound (including: music, nature sounds, white noise, etc) playing at highest volume setting, before entering and must keep them on until they have exited the containment area.
Description:
SCP-XXXX resembles a candlestick style antique telephone with a circular base 7cm in diameter with a 25cm cylindrical neck where a mouth piece (microphone) is attached at the top. Just below the mouth piece is a 20cm long wire attaching the ear piece (speaker) to the unit. The ear piece rests on a toggle attached three quarters the way up the side of the unit. Upon examination, SCP-XXXX has no internal components.
All attempts to disassemble SCP-XXXX resulted in the smaller parts becoming dust after approximately five minutes and a new object will "grow" from the largest piece, resulting in an identical version of the original object. Any new version of SCP-XXXX appear to be identical to any previous version with no variation. Any attempt to intentionally break SCP-XXXX have had similar results.
Known History:
SCP-XXXX was acquired by foundation Field Agent-355 on 06/27/REDACTED, from a Victorian Style office building in REDACTED, Louisiana, USA. After property owners complained online about a "disturbing sound" that kept them from surveying newly purchased property. Under a false identity, as Animal Rescue, Field Agent-355 acquired SCP-XXXX and returned to foundation site #XX speaking unknown language on 06/28/REDACTED.
Description XXXX-1:
Any personnel that have previously interacted with SCP-XXXX and subsequently speak only in unknown language. Any instance of XXXX-1 must be given SCP-XXXX authorization identification tags that are to be visible on clothing, at all times.
Object Class: "Euclid"
If SCP-XXXX remains isolated for a period of approximately twenty-four (24) hours then the nearest non-isolated phone will ring, until answered or unless the phone goes unanswered for an additional twenty-four (24) hours. This process will repeat until a phone is answered. How SCP-XXXX is able to reach other phones is unknown.
If SCP-XXXX is in a room with at least one instance of XXXX-1, the individual would apparently hear the phone ring and proceed to answer the phone speaking in an unknown language. This continues to occur at approximately the same time everyday.
SCP-XXXX effects anyone in the room with the object. Subjects report hearing the telephone ring. All attempts to answer the telephone have resulted in subjects speaking in an unknown language.

Approximately five (5) minutes after Subject D-473 enters containment area of SCP-XXXX Subject's attention is drawn to the object then requests permission to answer the phone, though no "bell box" is present and no sound can be heard from observation room. Subject is given permission and upon lifting ear piece to Subject's ear, Subject D-473 appears to have a casual conversation with someone or something.
Speech starts normal with Subject discussing daily activities outside work hours, after approximately two minutes Subject's speech starts to become distorted. Language becomes completely unknown after approximately five minutes. After returning ear piece to base unit, Subject then exits containment area and enters interview room 1.
Subject D-473 is classified as instance of XXXX-1.
Subject given SCP-XXXX authorization ID tag. Subject appeared confused before accepting the ID tag.

D-Class 214
Subject D-214 has been instructed not to answer the phone or speak into the phone under any circumstances. Subjects D-214 enters containment area of SCP-XXXX with one instance of XXXX-1, after five minutes all individuals respond to the phone at the same time. XXXX-1 make gestures for Subject D-214 to answer phone, Subject declines. XXXX-1 proceeds to answer the phone speaking in unknown language for approximately five to six minutes before returning ear piece to the base. Subject D-214 then exits containment area and enters interview room 1.

Following the test with SCP-XXXX on 07/31/REDACTED, the Subject reported hearing similar ringing tones outside testing area. Making the Subject feel extremely uncomfortable and unable to sleep. Subject D-214 was unable to locate the source of the ringing so was unable to answer.
After entering the containment area of SCP-XXXX, Subject D-214's attention is drawn to object and lifts ear piece to ear, speaking unknown language immediately.
No interview log for XXXX-A4-2 was made.
Subject D-214 is then classified as an instance of XXXX-1.

Subject D-104 has been instructed to keep sound cancellation headphones on with volume on highest setting until the end of the test. Subject is to remain in the containment area for the entirety of the test. Under no circumstances is the Subject to remove headphones until after exiting the containment area. The Subject is to remain in the containment area for fifteen minutes then to move into interview room 1.
