Item Number: SCP-@
Object █████: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-@-1 is to be reviewed every four hours by Null Engram personnel. Any changes in the depicted subjects are to be recorded. All efforts are to be made to ensure an SCP-@-CODA event does not transpire.
Description: SCP-@ is the group designation for the various anomalous events and phenomena centered around the Kirk Lonwood High School.
SCP-@ was first categorized as an Extranormal Event after its discovery in August of 1976. The entire student body of the previous school year, as well as several faculty members, became both unwilling and unable of leaving the school grounds. The affected did not exhibit confusion or distress due to their predicament, instead behaving as if reliving the previous school year.
The subjects were observed for a period of seventy-two hours, during which time they were observed performing various mundane activities; such as attending classes and after-school activities, candidly interacting in hallways and other break areas, and utilizing the facilities.
When not otherwise engaged, typically after the cessation of extra-curricular activities and overnight, students would each line up in front of their lockers until the first bell of the next day, and alternate between whistling and humming a simple ten-note tune. The students would remain in this state ignoring outside stimuli regardless of their physical condition - some were found to have soiled themselves overnight only to continue the melody unabated.
During periods of inactivity, faculty members would enter the staff lounge and lock the door behind them - prior to entering the principal's office through a side door. Agents positioned within the lounge area were met with opposition when attempting to observe this behavior, as well as the interior of the principal's office directly. In the only recorded recognition of outside actors, the faculty members would cease activity if agents or recording devices were present within the room, and instead glare at interlopers or into video devices until their removal or the resumption of school activity.
The principal's office has remained impregnable since its discovery. Multispectral analysis has thus far been unable of providing any information on its interior or potential occupants due to repeated mechanical failure - human observation has been found to be the only viable method for studying it. Personnel have reported hearing alternating pure tones in the melody echoed by the students at all times emanating from within SCP-@-, in perfect synchronicity with .
Aside from this,
Originally find the school mid August. Children absent from town, doing school stuff. Removal/therapy useful in helping most recover. School is in disarray. Creepy syncope stuff. Cannot access Principal's office. Cannot turn the PA system off. Content of announcements (maybe mentioning returning students/possible effect).
Photo discovered in trophy case. Graffiti. Some students noted to be absent from records. Faces distorted. Marching band members affected in pic. Investigative followup discovers students missing/presumed dead since initial containment. Subsequent viewing reveals they become distorted. Stricter procedures, active monitoring of former students.
Speculation and initial reaction - possible killing of students.
Following years, more skips pop up. Shifts from seeking students to replacing them. New theory. Stricter procedures for personnel screening in response.
Years pass. Single student left. Reader fills missing gap. End.
Deets: Some students emaciated. Brain-dead. Some with moments of lucidity. Townfolk naive. Residual problems as they age. Possible % of suicide or similar. Lack of success. Graffiti?
Flavor: Photo. Changing text. Possible audio? Drumroll.
Motives.
