Pearly Gates

Item #: SCP-#

Object Class: Euclid

Special containment procedures: SCP-# is to be kept under constant surveillance with no fewer than 2 guards patrolling the perimeter at all times armed with high velocity tranq rifles. The windows, doors and hatches should all be sealed using plywood attached with rivets around the edges of the board. Due to the nature of SCP-# containment inside the facility would be difficult and therefore is being kept on a nearby street near site-81. No personnel are to enter SCP-# without permission from staff with no less than level 3 clearance. All tests should be accompanied by at least one doctor, two researchers, two guards, and 2 D-class personnel. Drone surveillance is permitted for use inside SCP-# and is currently the most efficient way to gather data. Any tests or expeditions require one guard stood outside of SCP-# supervising and ensuring that the cables (via winch) attached to anyone entering SCP-# do not snap or give way, this is also the only current means of escaping SCP-#. When given orders the guard will retract the cables attached to involved personnel as to keep them from interacting with SCP-#-1. Given what little information is known of SCP-#-2 the primary goal is to keep any interaction with SCP-#-1 to a minimum since the incident on (Redacted date) (See addendum #-1-C). Any civilians found within a 90 meter radius around SCP-# should be watched with caution. Any civilians approaching SCP-# for examination should be tranquilized and moved to a safe distance from SCP-# and given class-A amnestics.

Description: SCP-# appears to be a typical suburban home in the neighborhood of (Redacted location). SCP-# has two doors, one hatch leading to a cellar, and twelve windows accessible from the outside. Upon entrance, the subject arrives in an alternate location than what is viewed from outside of the home. The area the subject arrives in is guarded by large metallic gates comprised of what appears to be common silver. While the gate appears to be made of silver any attempts to harvest samples for study have failed as the material seems impervious to any tools that are man-made. Requests for use of anomalous tools/weapons is ongoing but has yet to be cleared. Behind the gates are pathways that, upon observation, appear to be made of gold. Whilst inside SCP-# subjects can clearly see biological creatures flying in the aerial space behind the gates using wings made of unknown composition, here-on referred to as SCP-#-3. The gates that block access to the rest of SCP-# are approximately 45 meters in height and have an indeterminate length. These gates are here-on referred to as SCP-#-1 and contain their own anomalous properties. With use of drone surveillance, teams were able to see extensions of the area beyond SCP-#-1 and have observed a massive energy signature on the far side of SCP-#. The energy signature is approximately 1,220 meters away from SCP-#-1, and with drone surveillance, teams were able to capture still images of the source of the energy signature, here-on referred to as SCP-#-2. Review of the still images taken reveal the object to be some sort of humanoid figure of immense proportions. Research has shown that SCP-#-2 seems to be emanating energy that is obtained through transfer with SCP-#-1. The type of energy that SCP-#-2 is emanating is not currently known, however it is theorized that the energy comes from contact with SCP-#-1 (See addendum #-2-B). The entity in question appears to have a gluttonous appearance as is apparent from the size of its stomach. The head of SCP-#-2 closely resembles that of a common house fly however it lacks a proboscis. The arms and legs of SCP-#-2 are proportionate to its body and are typically at waist level. SCP-#-2 is normally dormant and has of yet been provoked into any further state, for now the goal of containment is to keep SCP-#-2 in a dormant state and to keep any instances of SCP-#-3 inside of SCP-# (See addendum #-3-A).

Additional Notes: Addendum-#-3-A:
Instances of SCP-#-3 are not to be shot with any firearms, only with high velocity tranq rifles. On [Redacted Date] a second instance of SCP-#-3 had escaped from the perimeter and was headed toward a nearby civilian home. Guards on duty tracked down the entity and shot it down, however the bullet holes produced spouts of corrosive liquids that shot onto the home and melted through the arm of one of the guards. For this reason no instance of SCP-#-3 is to be shot with firearms so as to reduce the risk of harm to civilians and staff. Any SCP-#-3 that is tranqed is to be transported to site-81 for careful destruction of the body, however researchers will be allowed 30 minutes to examine the body before destruction.

Addendum-#-2-B:
On [Redacted Date] an instance of SCP-#-3 had escaped SCP-#, this was when the foundation had first found signs of SCP-#. After dealing with the SCP-#-3 instance, MTF Unit-63, Under Dog, was sent in to investigate the area that SCP-#-3 had come from. When MTF Unit-63 arrived on scene they discovered that one of the windows were broken on the house, assuming the entity come from inside of the house MTF Unit-63 entered with caution. One member of the task remained outside to smoke a cigarette before going in and heard nothing from the rest of the task force and grew suspicious. He gathered a water hose from the backside of the house and tied it to his waist and the other end to the mailbox in front of the house. He moved inside and claimed there was a bright light, almost comparative to a military grade "flashbang" and arrived inside of SCP-#. He claims that his teammates were nowhere to be seen however their effects were laid on the ground in front of SCP-#-1. Whilst inside of SCP-# the MTF member had visual, although distant, of a large entity in the back that was illuminated with a purple hue. The remaining member of MTF Unit-63 made his way back outside and reported his findings to the foundation personnel at site-81.

Addendum-1-C:
On [Redacted Date], Researcher [Redacted] led a pair (2) of D-Class accompanied by 2 guards from site-81 to SCP-#. Upon arrival Researcher [Redacted] attached the D-Class to harnesses attached to a motorized winch and a guard led them inside of SCP-# along with Researcher [Redacted]. Once inside the D-Class took a moment to look around and observe the area and were then instructed that their only goal was to touch SCP-#-1. The first D-Class stepped up and placed her hand onto SCP-#-1 and was quickly evaporated, after contact with SCP-#-1 the "golden" pathway beyond began to glow seemingly as a sort of transfer pipe of energy to SCP-#-2. While Researcher [Redacted] was busy taking notes an instance of SCP-#-3 flew in and pushed the other D-Class into SCP-#-1 and it caused the pathway to glow again. The final conclusion is that the gate acts as a "giant bug zapper" and the pathway works like a cable moving energy to feed SCP-#-2.
