Special Containment Procedures: All SCP-4450 are to be kept in a large and tall acid-proof room.
SCP-4450 is to be feed with any large animal once every week, more then so can result in a overpopulation of SCP-4450.
In case of a Containment Breach all SCP-4450 out of their propper Containment room are to be eliminated preferebly with a fire source such as a Flamethrower whatsoever any other weapon any other weapon can be used with the same efficiency of damaging SCP-4450 instances but any weapon that when killing a SCP-4450 doesn't neutralize SCP-4450's blood may cause damage to personnel.
The Mobile Task Force "Fire Eaters" is recommended but "Nine-Tailed Fox" can be called too.
In case of overpopulation or when there are more than 10 SCP-4450, Class D personnel equipped with armor and flamethrowers or Mobile Task Forces Epsilon 9 or 11 are to be called to eliminate SCP-4450s until their number reaches 10. The act of depopulating SCP-4450 instances is to be referred as "Pop. Purge".
To enter in SCP-4450 cells it is needed to freeze the containment cell to below -12°C as it causes them to freeze making them enter a "docile" state where personnel can enter as long as their wear a suit or clothing that protects them from the cold. Below -27°C SCP-4450 seem to go into a permanent "docile" state that eventually renders them dead from starvation.
SCP-4450 containment cell is to be cleaned and checked for damage every week by class D personnel that must follow the regulations to enter SCP-4450's enclosure.
SCP-4450 while easy to contain, if it breaches it's containment it is a alpha priority to be secured and contained as letting it exit the site which it is currently located may go as far to [DATA EXPUNGED] or cause mass civilian death and the need to quarantine a entire [DATA EXPUNGED].
Description: SCP-4450 is a alien that has a close resemblence with arthropods, mostly with ones that feed of blood although it's circulation system is closed, like vertebrates but genetic scans reveal that although the similaritys they are not related, it is believed some kind of convergent evolution happened.
Note that they are not related to any other SCP nor any normal earth animal.
There is no SCP-4450 instance by which needed oxygen to remain alive and it was observed that SCP-4450 only needed blood to remain alive.
SCP-4450's acid can only corrode organic matter but it still may some damage to inorganic matter as it was observed on some tests that said matter would oxyde. The acid can evaporate and when in gas state it was observed the acid's function were rendered useless making fire weapons the recommended weapon when executing specific SCP-4450 instances but note that if needed to kill a large number of SCP-4450 without any specification on which to kill chemicals like mustard gas have been proved to work.
All SCP-4450 kinds are noted to go into a temporary hibernation state when temperature is below around -10°C until the temperature heats back up. Note that they may still starve to death.
Passing around -25°C would cause a permanent hibernation state.
SCP-4450 along with it's blood will melt or evaporate after passing around 70°C.
SCP-4450 external tissue resists pressures of around 2.500N.
The appearence of SCP-4450 variates on the kind of SCP-4450 but their social hierarchy and jobs are similar to that of a Bee Hive as it is observed on Addendum 4450-B.
Know kinds of SCP-4450 listed below with behaviour, appearence, purpose and life cycle :
- SCP-4450-1, the queen. SCP-4450-1 is the third stage of the life cycle. SCP-4450-1 is a creature with a large somewhat gelatinous white body filled with sensing spores with two (2) big appendages and another two (2) shorter ones close to it's thick and short feeding tube on the bottom that now also is used to create eggs that SCP-4450-4 will then carrie and stick it on the ceiling like a spider's egg. SCP-4450-1 after metamorphing from SCP-4450-6 to SCP-4450-1 it still kept the egg part like the princess. The queen's only purpose is to make new SCP-4450.
- SCP-4450-2, the egg. SCP-4450-2 is start of the life cycle. SCP-4450-2's sack part a the apitch black soggy part that contains the SCP-4450 embryo yet growing to one of the second stages. The sack varies in size but tends to have a radius of 1 meter but can go as big as 2.5 meters. Note that the size of the sack is a factor in determinating if the embryo will become SCP-4450-3, SCP-4450-4 or SCP-4450-5. The sack is very soft and can be easily rippen open. The rope, a grey part attaches the sack to the ceiling and is very hard as it needs to be able to hold SCP-4450-1 from not collapsing into the floor.
- SCP-4450-3, the spitter. SCP-4450-3's body is spherical and white, it also has some viewing spores and coloring. It has a short feeding tube and two (2) appendages that act like legs for walking and jumping but no climbing in the walls and ceiling. SCP-4450-3's legs are not too long and only keep him around a small distance from the floor. SCP-4450-3 has a spherical part on the top of it that can open and from inside of it throw "acid balls" made out of it's acidic blood and a kind of glue that makes the projectile be more consistent. It will protect the hive from threats by spitting a "acid ball" that can corrude the enemy. A SCP-4450-3 is born when a SCP-4450-2's sack is small and it's rope is long.
- SCP-4450-4, the climber. SCP-4450-4 has a white body slightly more shaped like a cone with two (2) long appendages that are pointed to the opposite direction of the body, these are used for climbing or for walking while another two (2) shorter ones are for better grab preys to eat with it's short feeding tube and to carrie SCP-4450-2 ropes that it will attach to the ceiling with a glue substance like the one produced by SCP-4450-3. It will take care of all SCP-4450-2 from it's hive. A SCP-4450-4 is born when a SCP-4450-2's sack is small and it's rope is short.
- SCP-4450-5, the princess. SCP-4450-5 has a long grey body covered with spores with a long feeding tube and a part of the SCP-4450-2, the rope that attaches it to the ceiling. The princess is capable of nothing and must be taken care of by SCP-4450-4 to metamorph into either a SCP-4450-1 or a SCP-4450-6 which depends if the SCP-4450-1 of the hive is dying or dead or new area is available which if so will become a SCP-4450-1 otheriwse it will become a SCP-4450-6. A SCP-4450-5 is born when a SCP-4450-2's sack is big.
- SCP-4450-6, the tank. SCP-4450-6 is like a SCP-4450-3 but it's body is widther and it's feeding tube and walking appendages are shorter and thicker, having so small appendages cause it to no longer be able to jump also, walking appendages are located on the bottom. SCP-4450-6 body's unlike all other SCP-4450 is stiff and rigid which causes it to be able to handle more damage. It will protect the hive from threats with melee atacks by taking them to the ground and sucking their blood.
SCP-4450 is a non-homicidal but yet agressive SCP as all instances of SCP-4450 in all tests only showed any signal of aggressiveness when either something entered their hive or said thing was considered a threat.
Provenance: The SCP foundation was notified of mass civilian deaths on a rural area of Poland. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6, "Village Idiots" was designated to investigate, contain and do the clean up of the area affected by SCP-4450. A Hive with a total of ██ SCP-4450 instances was quarantined and later samples SCP-4450 were secured and then contained accordingly to the procedures and remaining SCP-4450 were later eliminated. Area nearby was searched for other SCP-4450 instances and none were found, it is belived all SCP-4450 were either secured or eliminated.
Incident: In ██/██/████. On a weekly cleaning, the freezing devices broke in the middle of the cleaning, three (3) Class D died which then overfeed then and made a "Pop. Purge" needed, after five (5) hours , when the Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9, "Fire Eaters " arrived, they killed twelve (12) SCP-4450s.
Addendum 4450-A: SCP-4450, while weak in strenght is strong in numbers and his strong spot is taken advantage by the self by being able to grow in numbers so fast when they are overfeeded. This makes them even worse in the case of a long lasting containment breach or in the need to evacuate. We also have taken advantage of their weak spot (low quantities) by limiting their numbers to 10.
Addendum 4450-B: SCP-4450 instances live on hives with each variation of SCP-4450 having a different job. SCP-4450 hives shares multiples similaritys with bee Hhves like a queen (SCP-4450-1) that lays eggs (SCP-4450-2) and workers (SCP-4450-3, SCP-4450-4, SCP-4450-6) who get food, protect the hive and care for the brood. Different hives when on contact instead of trying to eliminate the other like bee hives, they helped or annexed the other hive.
