Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is an aggressive, lethal, force, more-so when it has gone for extended periods of time (2-3 weeks) without sustenance. To safely contain SCP-XXXX, make sure it is inside a concrete containment unit, with no sizeable gaps greater than 40 cm, and if said gap is present, stationed guards armed with Tasers at any openings, roughly 2 metres away (out of arms reach). If SCP-XXXX makes any attempt to leave through this gap, Taser it until it retreats. Feeding consists of one or two arms, preferably that of a bipedal mammal, and should be fed once a week.
Description:
SCP-XXXX’s skin is that of a thick, black, leathery/spongey membrane, that is gnarled, wrinkly, and saggy. It is spherical in shape, but appears more oval like and squarish due how it’s body sags. SCP-XXXX has no body features, apart from it’s small, light yellow, speckled and puckered, orifices, in which there are 376 counted, scattered sporadically across it’s body. Outputting from roughly 60% of these orifices are arms. These arms, almost entirely human, are varied in form, a mixture of different ethnicities and gender. If the orifice “lip” contains an arm, the lip will be tightly clenched, a small yellow ring around where the arm meets body. If the orifice contains no limbs, it will be firmly closed, and will look like a small puckered spot.
It has no discernible facial organs, like eyes, as it is blind [as found in test results I]. Whether it can hear or not is unknown, although it has reacted to sound before at ██████. However, it is theorised by Dr ██████ to be able to navigate through using echolocation, for even though its skin is tough and gnarled, it is incredibly sensitive to minute air pressure changes [as found from test results II]. It will click using the hand of one or two of its arms to bounce sound off any nearby objects to feel how close its surroundings are, and uses its arms lowest to the ground to drag itself along. It doesn’t seem to have a front, or even a topside or bottom side, as even if it has been rotated and flipped, it will still always use the bottommost arms, and seems to not need to orientate itself to move in any given direction.
The purpose of these orifices are to insert arms acquired from SCP-XXXX’s victims. When SCP-XXXX slammed over ██████ during [redacted], SCP-XXXX proceeded to tear off ██████ arms, using 6 of its own hands to pull off ██████ limbs, using its body to crush ██████ lower torso, preventing ██████ from moving. Two of SCP-XXXX orifices then widened, as it passed around the newly acquired arms, and placed it gently on the widened lip. The lip then firmly clasped around the arm, each arm pushed in approximately 10cm deep. SCP-XXXX then [redacted]. ██████ soon after died from blood lost. The new arms remained limp for approximately 28 minutes before becoming fully animated.
SCP-XXXX was found in ██████ when [information redacted], after ██████ wounded SCP-XXXX with a gun-shot to one of its orifices. Out of the 3 shots fired, the first two bullets reportedly made no effect on SCP-XXXX when they made impact with the dark leathery flesh. It was only after the shot to the orifice when SCP-XXXX fled, making a sound described by ██████ as “a broken kettle boiling”. This correlates to the sound SCP-XXXX made during [redacted], which was a very high pitch and discordant shriek.
Addendum:
Over the past █ months in containment, SCP-XXXX has grown 15cm in width, and 4 new orifices have opened in its skin. The SCP foundation has planned to transport SCP-XXXX to ██████, as we predict it may eventually become too big to manage at ██████. Almost all surviving witnesses involved in events surrounding SCP-XXXX’s capture have been dealt with, except [redacted].
