Special Containment Procedures: The SCP is to be contained in Site-19's Euclid class anomaly sector, class 2 security clearance is necessary. The SCP is to be contained in a 25 x 25cm box scented with calming herbs; light is prohibited within containment due to the entity's provocative response. During maintenance the SCP is to be directed out of containment via wrist restraints and a muzzle. It is mandatory to bless containment monthly do to its calming effects of the SCP's abilities. The SCPs containment is generally approximately -18 Celsius(0 Fahrenheit) in temperature and the air has the feel of static-electricity, maintenance workers are to bundle up in heavy clothing wear when in containment.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 266cm tall sapient shadow figure that is the silhouette of a man wearing a wide-rimmed hat. Lightly composed of a faint shadowy, mist-like shroud. Visible features are its white eyes and teeth.
Observation has shown that the SCP has an interest of children and the protection of children. Verbal description of harm towards children provokes an agitated response via physical aggression of maintenance workers including decapitation. During its rage state the SCP is to be sedated as it will attempt to breach through containment in order to access children so it can "raise it".
The SCP primarily speaks in English however it has shown to speak in various other languages. The SCP however is conservative and will generally stay silent if it does not wish to act upon initiation; or will respond to initiation with an agitated hiss. The SCP shares a hatred towards humanity stating "Humanity has an ongoing cycle of putrid corruption, I am solely protecting the pure and innocent". Assuming the SCP is speaking about his interest with children a pending interview has been granted by the administration for further research of the entity's hate and interest of children.
During the SCPs fitness trial Class-2 researchers have reported the entity to have enhanced sapient abilities and senses that includes speed, hearing, agility, and extreme flexibility. The entity has been tested to have similar hearing abilities to a bat and has been observed to communicate through echolocation letting out squeaks that humans are incapable of hearing due to its high sound-wave frequency. The SCP is able to break its body in various poses without showing signs of distress from the trauma it has caused to its anatomy. During testing a D-class has been cast inside to invade its territory, this has caused a provocative response from the entity that helped researchers conclude that the dismemberment of its body is a scare tactic.
D-class was ordered to step further into containment intensifying the entity's agitated state; the entity had unhinged its jaw bone down from its skull opening its jaw four(4) times wider then a humans and produced what was recorded to be a high pitch screech up to the frequency of 120,000Hz rendering the D-class's hearing to be useless. Doctoral reports has concluded that the D-class's ears had imploded on itself rending the D-class to be permanently deaf. Class-2 researchers are to be advised to carry ear muffs when starting initiation and to stay approximately 8 feet away from the entity to not induce its provocative state.
The SCP has the ability to cause physical harm via shadow manipulation. The entity takes the form of a human silhouette attacking personnel via physical aggression including decapitation and the consumption of the corpse. During a containment breach the SCP's camera had captured the silhouette of a class-2 researcher's shadow develop white eyes; in that same moment maintenance workers had observed that the SCP was no longer in its containment, the camera then captured the death of Dr. ██████ via consumption of their corpse. This event had given the foundation researchers the speculation that the SCP can travel through various dimensions, researchers also hypothesized that the entity may have its own pocket dimension after observing the creature can only travel if a distinct area is completely dark.
Observation through specified full spectrum cameras has shown that the SCP will engage in conversation with other anomalies in containment; disruption of communication from maintenance workers will result in an agitated state. anomalies are observed to be sentient white distorted faces and will generally disappear when communication with the SCP has been disrupted. Recordings have concluded that the sounds of the SCPs communication will generally be the sounds of incoherent whispers and babbling upon the SCPs containment if the faces are visible.
During initiation class 2 researchers have observed the SCP to absorb and use long wavelengths of infrared electromagnetic fields as energy; specifically radio waves that are generally used to power up electric grids. Administration has permitted researchers to use EMPs(Electromagnetic Pulse's) during initiation or interviews with the entity for further research.
