Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in an absolutely clean airtight evacuated desiccator supplied with industrial grade dehumidifier in the NDC-411 area of SCP complex 324. It is to be constantly irradiated with, in addition to at least 500000 lux of visible light, at least 10W/cm2 of UV-C, a high enough dose to kill any living cells. It must under no no circumstances be irradiated by ionizing radiation. Class D personal with OCD cleanliness should be used for housekeeping.

The light sources in the NDC-411 storage pod should have its energy from at least three different external power sources, each fed from a separate power station. In addition there must be redundant UPS capacity enough to power it through at least a 5 years power outage.

Description: When inactive, SCP-XXXX has the appearance of extremely fine sand like particles. When exposed to certain types of molds, darkness and humidity, SCP-XXXX will be activated. After being activated, SCP -XXXX will stay active also in a clean, light and dry environment.

The active particles will, due to its creation of anti-matter, take the form of a marble sized slightly compressible sphere of nothingness with a small blue glow to be seen the middle. Each sphere also gives of around 5W of heat. Although the SCP-XXXX spheres seems inert they will at certain times by an not yet understood process "take in" some of its neighboring matter, giving off a blue flash of cherenkov radiation and leaving a small dent in solid matter. This will cause the sphere to grow slightly. When its size is above 27.035mm, it will spontaneously split with a popping sound into to smaller spheres, each of half the volume. The average times between splits when SCP-XXXX is in contact with various types of matter is given in table 1. From these parameters, one can easily see that uncontrolled activation of SCP-XXXX would anhilliate the entire Earth in approximately [REDACTED] seconds (approximate [REACTED] weeks).

Addendum: The first known creation and activation of SCP-XXXX happend at the accident at the [REDACTED] nuclear research centre in the former nation of [REDACTED] []-[]-19[]. Unfortunatly, this was described in a scientific article (S. Lem "Darkness and Mould" 19[REDACTED]. The foundation was not able to remove the article completely, but managed to have it considered a work of fiction.
