3. Test communication - No vocal connection possible. Written only, figure out what language (maybe it learns english extremely quickly, suggesting high intelligience?
4. Final exam report of dead subject body

• subject is pretty disdainful of humans/human intelligence
• learn about alternate future
  • intelligent humans are distant legend, maybe myths. current humans are more like morlocks
  • inorganic degredation field origins - mysterious? unwilling to answer? disdainful of anything non-organic in origin?
• Interviews gradually get more difficult - subject more unwilling to cooperate, more hostile due to confinement.

Final Incident Log: Eventually must be killed due to loss of personnel - vague paw motions at subject's side lead to rapid onset of various unknown diseases and physical/mental degredation, loss of containment, etc

• Although this subject is deceased, both the anti-technology field and possibility of further active biological tools/weapons in carcass necessitate keeping this item classified as Safe instead of neutralized.

Elevator Pitch: This is the corpse of a rat from a post-apocalyptic future where humans have ceded their status as dominant species to rattus norvegicus. Subject was sentient while alive and appeared to have skin grafts from multiple different species of animal, as well as access to a wide array of highly advanced biological-based tools and weapons, including an innate field degrading any inorganic materials. This field necessitates atypical containment and testing procedures.
Central Narrative: Subject is initially brought to SCP attention as a potential rat infestation in one of their sites, which should be impossible due to tight infestation controls. First experiment log details efforts to contain subject, which was made difficult by a field around it that rapidly degrades inorganic materials, as well as increasing suspicions of sentience. Eventually SCP is able to contain the subject, and further testing/inspection reveals sentience, with the ability to communicate through writing. All testing/interviews made difficult due to anti-technology field and increasing hostility of subject. Interviews reveal glimpses of grim future where humans are mere myths, and brutal rat society is based on biological/chemical technology. After a short period of containment (<1 week), the subject is apparently able to figure out the SCP containment device, and goes on a rampage, releasing multiple toxic/biologic weapons in the facility. Subject is terminated by MTF team, with heavy casualties. Carcass is kept in antique deep freeze for further study.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: Scientific illustration(s) of subject (deceased and alive) are the only available visual resources due to the anti-technology field around subject.
Additional Notes: I'm looking for good recent SCPs to cross-link to help hint at possible ways the rat was able to enter the SCP site and this dimension. I'm also not sure if it makes more sense to hint more that the rat is from this dimension's future, or an alternate universe. Thoughts?
