Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Euclid Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be kept in a 243metre boron carbide cube in site [REDACTED]. All personnel entering for any reason are to wear sound-blocking headgear, and maintain at least 3 meters distance from SCP-xxxx. All material collected from SCP-xxxx must be gathered at the aforementioned 3 meters distance, and with the use of an extended staff.
SCP-xxxx is to be fed 8 kilograms of raw cow meat twice a day. One of the D-Class personnel will enter the SCP-xxxx's container, put the materials on the floor, and exit the chamber.
One armed guard is to be stationed outside SCP-xxxx's containment chamber at all times.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a living entity resembling the decaying carcass of a Camelus Dromedarius. SCP-xxxx terminates its victims by biting the leg approximately 3 centimetres above the Achilles' heel, to make the victim immobile, and cause them lethal blood loss. SCP-xxxx attacks at high speed, estimated to be somewhere between 256.5 and 300 m/s. No personnel have ever reported observing SCP-xxxx in motion. SCP-xxxx lures its victims to it by appearing deceased and occasionally making a high pitch noise, usually at over 22,000Hz, to annoy and disturb its victims. This noise has been equated to that of a distressed fox, though much higher.
Various tests in the ████████ facility, have concluded that SCP-xxxx is extremely resistant to any and all ways of destruction attempted. The source of this resilience is as of yet, unknown.
A series of experiments performed by a group of D-class staff members under the surveillance of Doctor ████ proved that SCP-xxxx has muscle, bone and blood ores underneath its top layer of rotten flesh. The creature is not of high intelligence, and thus cannot distinguish outside desert environments from Foundation ground. The Origin of SCP-xxxx is as of yet, unknown.

If left 'unfed' for more than 5 hours, SCP-xxxx will metamorphose into SCP-xxxx-A. By the time SCP-xxxx has successfully metamorphosed, it will have regenerated most of its skin and fur, and extended the length of its teeth by about 4.8 centimetres. SCP-xxxx-A is extremely hostile towards any living vessel.

Addendum xxxx-A: Before capture, SCP-xxxx was observed in many different locations within the Qattara Depression and on some rarer occasions, 5-10 kilometres outside of Istanbul, northern Damascus, and Anatolia. Records of SCP-xxxx in this area date back to 1566.
SCP-xxxx was first documented by Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire, shortly before his death in 1566. He described a camel carcass having come alive, and killed one of his soldiers while marching towards Szigetvár. Suleiman stated he was "puzzled", but ultimately decided it was best for the safety of his soldiers not to approach it.

As previously stated, SCP-xxxx has also been observed in the Qattara Depression. Records of SCP-xxxx in this area were first documented in 1921, and documented encounters with SCP-xxxx regularly occurred until capture.

Addendum xxxx-B: On █/██/████, a group of D-class personnel discovered a yellow and highly viscous liquid around SCP-xxxx's ribs. This substance has been named 'SCP-xxxx-1'. SCP-xxxx-1 has been discovered to repair any corroded or partialy destroyed metallic surfaces, by physical contact. When spread across the surface, This has made SCP-xxxx's object class change from Euclid, to Thaumiel.
