Elissa could, under any other circumstance, go in and out of her reality-bending-magic-lab-place (What was the formal term?) as she pleased. Due to recent events, involving a large explosion and her weird lab thing, she could not do that. As she was not a novice in the craft of doing magic-y reality-bending things (But no natural-born), this blunder was unexpected and not something that would have happened under the correct protections of/from fate. However, considering that it might have happened anyway, Elissa was less concerned about the lab and more concerned about Diane not picking up. Surely her best friend would be here by now to help? But nooooo, she had to go on a ~date~ with a ~fine-looking humanoid~. Eventually Diane would learn that not every person who is even remotely attracted to her is going to actually end up as her sweetie-pie. Eventually. Elissas' frustration only grew as the fire in the lab raged on. Wait. WAIT. There was a fire extinguisher right before Elissas' face. Elissa took the proper and needed steps to put out the fire which I will not detail here because it would be boring, like how this tale is being right now.
Meanwhile, in a diner in a town that I shan't mention, a woman and a quite fine-looking humanoid are having a nice lunch as the woman's phone buzzes to no avail or care of the woman who owns it. The woman's name is Diane, and she is having a nice lunch with a fine humanoid. I don't need to detail the discussion they are having, simply the contents of the meals - One, eaten by the woman, is a nice stack of pancakes with maple syrup. It is a very nice meal and she seems to be enjoying it. The other, eaten by a vaguely humanoid creature, is a stick of material that is unidentifiable. It is moving, but the creature seems quite content with it. It is a lovely meal and they are having a nice time, however, the person on the other end of the line wasn't having a nice time until she picked up a fire extinguisher. It seems like Diane is finally, FINALLY, picking up that phone and looking at those texts from her beloved friend. She puts her hand over her mouth and runs off to her friends house, humanoid trailing behind.
Elissa in the meantime is fixing up her lab. Luckily, she keeps her borrowed books in her personal library, in case a bigger Library needs them back. She sees her friend, Diane, on her steps. "Hey."
"Oh, heavens, Elissa, I didn't know your lab was-"
"It's fine. The panic was for nothing. I had a fire extinguisher and used it. Come in?"
Diane seemed upset with Elissa.
"So it was for nothing?"
"Yes."
"Well, you had me worried?"
"Tea?"
Diane got out her umbrella, which I will mention is quite pink and frilly and most likely isn't supposed to be used for the purpose it is about to be used for.
"Diane. Control your anger."
The humanoid put a hand on Dianes' shoulder.
"nwod mlaC. thgir si dneirf ruoY."
"Now, darling now isn't the time for your cli—"
"NWOD. MLAC."
Diane quickly did the opposite of that and swung her pink, frilly umbrella at her mate, who raised four arms at her for her to stop.
"Diane, you will control yourself or leave this house!"
Elissa quickly dealt with a different kind of explosion than the one referenced earlier in the story via pointing outside and guiding her friend to the door.
"And you, humanoid, what's your name."
"nayR."
"Alright Ryan, how do you feel about reality bending?"
"doog toN."
"Aight, I can understand that. I need help refurnishing my reality lab, if you'd like to help."
Ryan quickly nodded, indicating both a level of experience in doing this and a willingness to complete said task. Both parties relocated themselves to the partially-charred lab, where many seemingly impossible objects exist and in some cases had ceased to exist. Eventually some cleaning would have to be done, and that would be done now. I don't want to bore you all with detailing the grueling task, but eventually after a few days the lab was less burnt and smelled nicer, with less objects scattered about.
"So, Ryan, where are you from?"
"hdjflhaeU"
Elissa did not understand any of that, but understood that it was probably a place. A place where she could not exist.
"Nice. Why are you here then?"
"
