Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5001 is to be monitored 24 hours for any forms of sound that sounds like singing emitting from the containment area. Unmarked Naval Vessels are to monitor SCP-5001's containment area at all times. All personnel are to wear ear plugs at all times. NO D-Class experiments are aloud unless 05-[REDACTED] approves the request to carry out experiments. No men are aloud at the containment site. No contact is to be made between a instance of SCP-5001-1 and a foundation personnel. All naval vessels should keep a distance of 9.65 km from the island so not to fall victim to SCP-5001-1's affects.
Description: All of SCP-5001-1 are female and extremely hostile and carnivorous. They attract prey by singing a melody that mainly attracts human males which is mainly what they eat and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The island and the humanoids that inhabit it are referenced in the Odyssey by the Greek writer Homer. The humanoids are able to killed and injured. The island is 8.04 kilometers long and 4.82 kilometers wide and has a climate is jungle like and is full of plant species that are currently unknown to modern records. Drone exploration has confirmed that there is a human colony on the island. The colony are trying to communicate with the foundation. Addendum-5001-A: A rescue mission has been approved by 05-[REDACTED] and 05[REDACTED]
and shall take place on 08/28/[DATA REDACTED] and will end on 08/31/[REDACTED]. The rescue team and the colonist will be evacuated by helicopter and all of the colonist will be given Class-A amnestics and given a citizens in Greece and given varying cover-stories. Ear filters will be given to the rescue team and shall be supplied to the colonist.
Addendum-5001-B: Any SCP-5001-1 caught trying to communicate with any foundation personnel will be terminated and the effected personnel given amnestics and or be terminated. Read Incident-5001-A.

Addendum-5001-C: Object Class for SCP-5001 is awaiting approval to be changed to Keter class[DENIED] after more failed containment breaches causing the death of [REDACTED] Foundation personnel and 4 civilians that were near the area at the time. The 4 civilians have been declared missing by their country's government. Awaiting approval to terminate SCP-5001 via Naval Bombardment[DENIED]
