Special Containment Procedures: The forest in which SCP-4538 lives is to be closed off to the public. No persons are allowed to enter this forest under any circumstances. Armed guards must be stationed around the boundaries of the forest, with at least one backup for each guard readily available. All guards and backups must be male. All personnel guarding the forest must recognize each other's names and faces, as SCP-4538 will occasionally shapeshift into a nonexistent person who claims to have gotten lost in the forest. Any unknown persons inside the boundaries of the forest are to be shot on site, either to prevent SCP-4538 from escaping or to eliminate potential food sources.
All anomalous advertisements found must be reported and websites that host the advertisements must be shut down until the advertisement disappears. All dating websites social media must be searched and anomalous profiles must be identified. All non-anomalous profiles interacting with these anomalous profiles must be banned in order to reduce the risk of potential victims being lured in by SCP-4538.
Description: SCP-4538 is a quadruped entity, currently measuring 1.7 meters in height at the shoulder and weighing 272 kilograms, although its size varies depending on how many victims it has consumed. Its neck, measuring an additional 0.5 meters, terminates in an avian-like head with large ears and eyes appearing to belong to a human female. Its body appears to be equine with a leonine tail. The entity shows no muscle mass, and genetic testing has concluding that its skin is comprised of human flesh. It has no organs, its interior is comprised of only blood and bones. SCP-4538 has no body hair, with the exception of its neck and the tip of its tail, which are covered in black human hair. The entity appears to be sapient, able to speak in coherent sentences in any language when in human form, however it is unknown whether it is able to speak in its natural form.
SCP-4538 feeds on human skin, blood, and bones in order to increase its size. It only shows negligible decreases in size when deprived of food, only decreasing in size by 0.5 kg within the span of ██ months. However, it will become agitated if it is not supplied with food at least every month. SCP-4538 uses many anomalous methods of luring its prey, including but not limited to: shapeshifting into an attractive human and engaging in a false romantic relationship or friendship, creating profiles for dating websites social media that cannot be deleted or banned, and online ads promising job opportunities that only affect targeted individuals. SCP-4538 has only shown interest in females, as no male victims of the entity have ever been reported.
When SCP-4538 has lured in its victim, it leads it to a secluded forest and kills them. It then swallows the victim whole, taking an indeterminate time to "digest" its victim. "Digestion" can take as short as 30 minutes or as long as ██ days. After its desired tissues are assimilated into the entity's body, it will regurgitate the victim's internal organs. The regurgitated organs, referred to as SCP-4538-1, have a consistency similar to that of finely ground beef. SCP-4538-1 has an anomalous effect that will attract even herbivorous animals to feed on it. The substance seems to have a stronger effect on animals that live in close proximity to humans. For example, a squirrel will eagerly consume SCP-4538-1, but a wolf will take no interest it. The animals that have consumed SCP-4538-1, referred to as SCP-4538-2, will have a compulsory urge to scout for potential new victims and report them to SCP-4538. Although it may shapeshift into a human to scout these potential victims, this consumes a large amount of SCP-4538's energy, so it is more efficient for the entity to use SCP-4538-2 to search for prey.
It is currently unknown why SCP-4538 strictly feeds on females, however a theory is that SCP-4538 has a severe intolerance to high levels of testosterone. Male persons have been attacked before, but these attacks have been confirmed to either be self-defense or escape attempts, and SCP-4538 has yet to attempt to consume a male human body. Experiments have been proposed to test this theory by extracting testosterone from male human tissue, but these experiments have never been carried out due to the risks of providing a food source for SCP-4538.
Addendum: An anomalous profile linked to SCP-4538 has been found on DeviantArt. All social media platforms must be searched in order to prevent more victims from being lured in by these profiles.
