Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5097 must be kept in an incubated 15 x 15 x 15 meter room made of titanium infused steel on the outside and a padded and cushioned material at 50 degrees Celsius internally, with one door to check on SCP-5097 and ventilation to keep oxygen flowing into the room with padded pillows kept underneath SCP-5097 at all times. There is to be four heat panels on the ceiling of SCP-5097's room and floor of SCP-5097's room fully functional at all times. SCP-5097 is to be kept on containment sight REDACTED. If SCP-5097's containment temperature goes underneath 45 degrees Celsius it is to be reported immediately and to get any on sight repairmen to fix any sort of issues regarding the heating panels inside the room.
In case of a containment breach, the room SCP-5097 is in may go to 45 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius, any lower will activate it's anomalous properties to activate, it is crucial to also have two D-Class or above level personnel to wear the protective suits and stay inside the room with SCP-5097 to comfort it and protect it from any rouge SCP's.
Description:
SCP-5097 is a small silver egg that is unknown of what it may hatch into, nor is it known of any anomalous properties that the creature inside may hold. SCP-5097 has however been scanned to see what is inside, and has revealed it contains a creature of reptilian origin. The egg is made of a special sort of silver material not too different from the element of silver, but is much softer then said element and has since been dubbed "Soft-Silver." This is the only instance of such material. However what is known is when the egg's temperature is below 35 degrees Celsius objects around it will spontaneously combust to keep it warm. Tests have show anything will burst into flames, stretching from rocks, steel, and even ice.
SCP-5097 also reacts when it is shown affection or nurturing. When any personnel or scientist has touched the egg in any manner showing affection it noticeably gets warmer to their touch and the silver seemingly emits a white light. Knowing this the SCP Foundation makes it so all D-Class and above personnel can go in at any time wearing protective suits from the heat to show the egg any sort of affection, whether it be by hugging or petting or anything of the sort.
SCP-5097 likewise also reacts to any threat that would potentially harm it and to fear as well. This was shown when a D-Class personnel by the name of REDACTED brought in a plastic knife in his suit and thus spontaneously combusted when the room was at it's standard 50 degrees Celsius. This has been tested as well for any sort of weapon and all weapons and their wielders spontaneously combusted underneath their suits, killing them in a matter of minutes. In fear SCP-5097 will set everything around it ablaze in a 15 foot radius, noticeably when this comes to regular visitors of SCP-5097 will not be harmed by the flames.
