Item #: SCP-4213

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4213 is to be contained in a 2 x 1.5 x 2-meter cell with concrete walls containing at least .34% calcium carbonate (limestone, CaCO3) content. An additional wall of soda-lime glass about 4cm thick spanning across the length of the room with a second door and speaker system installed a third of the way into the room should be built for interviewing purposes. Standard security measures include infrared and standard color security cameras in vantage points where SCP-4213 is always visible.

If location transfer is required for testing, standard restraining apparatus is a pair of handcuffs with .34% limestone content, and an optional standard grade sedative may be used. SPC-4213’s cell may be stocked with basic educational apparatus to test cognitive abilities.

All Level 2 and higher personnel are given full permission to converse and engage with SCP-4213 as needed or preferred, though all interactions will be monitored and recorded. Only specified Level 2/4213 personnel and higher are permitted to engage with SCP-4213 within its cell.

Ever since the Field Agent ████ of site [REDACTED] incident, it is greatly advised that no personnel of any kind injure SCP-4213, especially around the [REDACTED] area while SCP is conscious. It is also heavily suggested that personnel do not ███ or make physical contact in general with SCP-4213 during Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as testing has not yet reached such an advanced stage as of yet.

Description: SCP-4213 is an anomalous humanoid entity that has been contained in site [REDACTED] on █/█/1998, its birth 3 days prior. It currently holds the appearance of a male teenager, as expected, though it does not seem as if it has aged since its ██th year of containment. It has a dark blue pair of eyes, dark brown shade of hair, stands at 1.9 meters and weighs 63.5 kilograms since ████████ of this year.

SCP-4213 appears to exhibit either reality altering capabilities within a 3.05-meter radius and inverses polarity or filter within a .61 meter radius of itself or displaces aspects of reality within a 3.05-meter radius of itself into a more condensed form in a .61 meter radius.1 Neither theory can be ruled out as there is no way to currently test which of these is the correct explanation for the phenomenon. Another phenomenon that defies explanation is that the aspect of reality displaced or altered varies and repeats in a seven (7) day cycle. SCP-4213 has confirmed that its ability is not willed or controlled, but instead a constant force that inhabits the area around it. This has been confirmed by various tests.

The data table below indicates each period, or day, and the aspect of reality that coincides with each period in each of SCP-4213’s cycles.

24 Hour Period Aspect Details
Sunday Sympathy The outer 28.02 meters squared appears to cause subjects the inability of sympathy, empathy, and other basic emotions. The inner 1.17 meters squared appears to heighten the subject's emotional intensity and sensitivity.
Monday Heat The outer radius has the effect of the environmental temperature and objects inside to lower exactly 15°C. The inner radius has the opposite effect, the temperature increasing exactly 15°C.
Tuesday Color The outer radius, curiously, causes objects viewed through it to lose its color. One conjected hypothesis is that SCP-4213 pulls a majority of the visible light spectrum within its inner radius, almost as a black hole, though there is no current way to test this. The inner radius indeed reflects this hypothesis, as while within it, the environment around it appears to be more vivid or saturated in color.
Wednesday “Void” No measurable change in environment has been found. SCP-4213 suggests testing with other SCP subjects. Further testing required.
Thursday Desaturation The event of this day exactly reverses and swaps the effects of Tuesdays. No other changes occur.
Friday Frigidity The event of this day, like the previous day, is the inverse of Monday. No other changes occur.
Saturday Apathy This day, like the previous two, exhibit the inverse traits of Sunday. No other changes occur.

It should be noted that these effects do in no way impact SCP-4213, and it does not report any change in the environment in interviews.

SCP-4213 has been diagnosed with an extremely rare limestone allergy, which is advantageously used to contain it, as this allergy extends to limiting the area of effect of SCP-4213’s reality-altering/displacing abilities. It has also been diagnosed with [REDACTED], though this has no proven correlation to SCP-4213’s abilities.

The following data has been collected via semi-natural observation and analyzation of the subject's written diary: (If personnel wish to read said document, they must submit a request form to their administrator.)
SCP-4213 has shown signs of depression, as well as expressing a melancholic and cynical disposition, and was accordingly scheduled weekly therapy sessions. It has become obvious that its relationship with Dr. [REDACTED] and his sudden death have impacted it very negatively, driving SCP-4213 towards a state of depression and a lasting sense of loneliness. SCP-4213 has been recorded having trouble talking to staff, excluding [DATA EXPUNGED], whose earliest encounter with SCP-4213 was recorded ██ years ago.

Addendum 4213-A1: It is interesting enough to note that the first three (3) periodic effects of SCP-4213’s cycle seem to be inverted and portrayed in opposing order in each cycle’s last three (3) periods, and while the fourth (4) period has no visible effect, it may instead act as a day of rest and inversion, though this is called into question with the absence of a second “Void” day.

Addendum 4213-A2: SCP-4213 expresses confidential knowledge that the subject should not otherwise know. It has shown its knowledge during interviews and currently has shared that it has knowledge of Foundation intelligence, like SCP-049 and others, as well as the personal secrets of those that have interviewed SCP-4213. It is currently unknown if this knowledge is due to its anomaly, or if it had learned its knowledge from Dr. E[REDACTED]. SCP-4213 has repeatedly asked its interviewers to allow it access to other SCP subjects. This request is being processed by [DATA EXPUNGED].
