IMPORTANT
Hello there, and welcome to my Sandbox! You can call me Silver, or Scribbles, but I don't think you're here for that—
My Sandbox is a very jumbled and messy place, so I'll clarify some stuff below.
Tab Information
No tabs contain anything critique ready.
Item #: SCP-ANGEL-J
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-ANGEL-J instances are to be contained within a reasonably sized cage for the number of contained instances. Suitable food (see Description) is to be provided in the morning, and monitored to make sure the instances don't eat all of it and go hungry. Clean water should be provided every morning, and changed whenever it becomes dirty.
SCP-ANGEL-J instances are to remain caged. Under no circumstances are they to be let out. SCP-ANGEL-J instances are allowed to be let loose within a closed room, under close supervision to prevent any injury to the instances, or the site.
Description: SCP-ANGEL-J instances are beautiful, angelic angels. There is currently no reliable information on the full count of SCP-ANGEL-J instances on Earth, but the estimated count is in the millions.
SCP-ANGEL-J instances are sentient entities. The full-scale of their intelligence is currently unknown, but is theorized to be anywhere from that of an animal, to a young human child. Despite this, researchers are warned to be careful around SCP-ANGEL-J instances, as they have displayed the ability to trick researcher's into letting their guard down, only to breach containment.
SCP-ANGEL-J instances have layers of skin, ranging from pink to purple, covered with feathers. These feathers can range from small down feathers, to long flight feathers. The feather colors can range to almost any color, with the most common being green or blue, with dark stripes. Instances often have longer tails stretching from the back to form a structure similar to tails. Instances have two wings stretching from their sides, often covered in longer, striped feathers. Instances can fly, and personnel are reminded to be careful when handling them, to prevent any accidental breaching.
SCP-ANGEL-J instances eat mainly vegetation, with favorites including seeds, carrots, and greenery. Though these can be given as treats for good behavior, personnel are reminded that the majority of instances' diet should consist of specially-produced pellets to provide necessary nutrition.
SCP-ANGEL-J instances have been found to produce various vocalizations, that are far too beautiful to be replicated by mankind. Their voices can reach unbelievable ranges, and have been described as "so freaking adorable!!!!" by many researchers. However, SCP-ANGEL-J instances appear stressed within their cruel cages, and it seems to me that they ache to spread their wide, glorious wings and glide across a wide, open room, singing in their lovely voices and bringing joy to us all.
SCP-ANGEL-J-1 had feathers mostly green and yellow, with bright, grey eyes and a loveable personality. He was recorded to be friendly and trusting towards all personnel, though he did get easily alarmed and frightened by loud, rough noises, including the terrible sound of humans arguing and shouting. We believe that this was because of his angelic desire to see all humans joined together is silent peace and harmony. Unfortunately, SCP-ANGEL-J-1 got into a tragic accident, the details of which are unknown, and his ability to fly and take care of himself were limited. He passed away, only ███ (2) years after containment.
SCP-ANGEL-J-2 has feathers mostly white and blue, with sharp grey eyes and an independent and intelligent personality. She seems to prefer certain personnel over others, and is distrusting of personnel she's unfamiliar with. She is not very easily startled, but harbors a particular dislike of boredom and a lack of activities to complete. She does, however, enjoy studying and learning about new objects, and after growing familiar with them, is often very protective of them, even having small fights with other instances over possession. Though some personnel find this annoying, and complain that SCP-ANGEL-J-2 seems aggressive towards other instances, this is simply because others can't comprehend her true innocence, beauty, and angelicness.
SCP-ANGEL-J-3 has feathers mostly in yellow and teal, with soft grey eyes and a conflicted personality. He seems curious and happy sometimes, yet also becomes quiet and nervous at other times. SCP-ANGEL-J-3 enjoys attention from personnel, especially in the form of gentle conversations, and being showered in well-deserved compliments. SCP-ANGEL-J-3 was contained most recently of any others, only two days after the tragic death of SCP-ANGEL-J-2. As a result, they were never able to meet on Earth, but in the afterlife, I'm sure they will meet in Heaven and become wonderful friends.
Addendum ANGEL-J.1: Interview
The following is an interview between Dr. Sylvie Moon and SCP-ANGEL-J-2 and -3, meant to introduce Dr. Evelyn Alleta to her new job.
Interviewed: SCP-ANGEL-J-2, SCP-ANGEL-J-3
Interviewer: Dr. Sylvie Moon, Dr. Evelyn Alleta
<Begin Log>
Dr. Alleta: Sooo… when can I see them? I've heard about these angels so many times!
Dr. Moon: And they're even more beautiful and angelic than they sound! But, before I lift the blinds on the observation window, I want to go over a few things.
Dr. Alleta: Alright!
Dr. Moon: First off, you are, under no circumstances, to raise your voice around them. -2 seems to become more aggressive when hearing people shout and yell.
Dr. Alleta: …. Aggressive? How would an angel be aggressive?
Dr. Moon: It's not her fault, people yelling and shouting just shows how corrupted and terrible we are, which contradicts too far with her angelic personality. This stresses her out, and makes her more stressed and tense.
Dr. Alleta: Ah, alright. What does she do when she gets stressed?
Dr. Moon: Mainly, she makes loud noises until the noisy person is quiet. Or she flies around for a bit. Or sometimes she bites things. Or people.
Dr. Alleta: She bites people??
Dr. Moon: It's not her fault!

Closing Statement: [Small summary and passage on what transpired afterward]
Item: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a Standard Low Security Humanoid Containment Cell. Interviews and interactions with SCP-XXXX are permitted.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female humanoid, approximately 1.5 m tall and weighing 25 kilograms. SCP-XXXX appears to be around 10 years old but denies knowledge of its actual age.
During conversations with SCP-XXXX, individuals hear the language they are most fluent in. This has been observed to cause no threat and in certain situations is deemed helpful. Despite this, testing is being conducted to assert whether or not this phenomenon has an effect on persons.
Addendum XXXX.1: Interview
SCP-XXXX was discovered during the investigation of an old house located in the outskirts of a small town, in the southern half of Pennsylvania. SCP-XXXX was brought into Foundation custody along with other anomalies found within the house. The following is an interview conducted with Agent Aleksander Gadway to determine the events leading up to the containment of SCP-XXXX.
Interviewed: Agent Aleksander Gadway
Interviewer: Dr. Kennedy Gale
<Begin Log>
Dr. Gale: Start by explaining the investigation.
Agent Gadway: Okay. Some guy higher up was looking through missing kid reports in a little town… It was a small town, so even a few missing kids would be considered a big deal. All the kids were recorded to have expressed interest in going into an old house by the end of the town, and then the next day, they were gone. I guess the police were contacted, and then once they found all the dead corpses, they got a bit concerned and contacted The Foundation.
Dr. Gale: Dead corpses?
Agent Gadway: Yes, apparently all those kids were found dead. Inside the house. A bunch of weird, random causes— I think one died from a… concussion? I never knew that was possible, but I guess if someone hit your head hard enough…
Dr. Gale: Please continue with what happened during the investigation.
Agent Gadway: Ah, right. So they decided to send some of us in the house to check everything out. The police didn't report anything strange inside the house… besides the dead kids, but that was expected. So, anyways, we walked into the house.
Dr. Gale: What did the inside of the house seem like?
Agent Gadway: It looked old. Really old. You could see the wallpaper peeling off, some holes in the walls, dust everywhere… I remember spiders too. A lot of spiders. I hate spiders…
Dr. Gale: Please continue with what happened.
Agent Gadway: Alright. The first floor seemed fine, we looked inside the kitchen. Apparently they found a dead corpse in there earlier, electrocuted? A bit strange, since we checked the lights and there was no electricity. No running water either.
Agent Gadway: After we made sure the first floor was fine, we moved on to the second floor. Besides the continuing stairs, it seemed to mainly be halls and doors: all closed. But weirdly enough, not locked. There were enough of us, and I doubted electrocution or concussions would be a serious threat, so I split everyone up into two groups. My group checked the west side, I set Agent Leilus Branwyn in charge of the east side.
Agent Gadway: Everything was going fine. Most of the rooms were empty, some had dusty furniture and beds. There was this huge bookshelf in one room. I don't think it was anomalous, but before we could finish looking it over, we heard a loud scream.
Dr. Gale: Who was it?
Agent Gadway: Agent Tristan Mallory. They're really sweet and nice, but get spooked easily. I suspected that they'd just gotten startled, but considering the circumstances, we went over to check out what was happening. And I found Tristan and the other agents standing outside a door… and there was a little girl inside the room.
Dr. Gale: And what did it look like?
Agent Gadway: The girl? Uh, she had pale skin, really dark hair, and green eyes. Once I saw the eyes, I realized she had to be anomalous. They weren't grey-green, or even pale green, they were a bright, vibrant shade of green that creeped me out. I can get why Tristan screamed, they just opened a door to see that… thing….
Dr. Gale: Besides the eyes, did it display any other signs of being anomalous?
Agent Gadway: Ah, that was once she… I mean, it, started talking.
Agent Gadway: We all just stood there for a minute, trying to figure out what to do, when it turned, looked at me, and spoke. In Russian.
Dr. Gale: I presume you're familiar with the language?
Agent Gadway: Yes, I spent most of my childhood in Russia, then my family moved… here. Anyways, we had a small conversation. It asked who we were, and I said we were just looking around the house to make sure everything was okay.
Agent Gadway: Everything seemed fine, until I turned around and saw everyone's expressions… They all looked so shocked and confused. When I asked what was wrong, they all exchanged glances with eachother. Leilus asked me what language I was speaking. When I said Russian, he asked why I was speaking Russian to an English-speaking child.
Agent Gadway: After we decided that none of us were losing our sanity, we settled on the idea that it was probably a language-based anomaly.
Dr. Gale: What was the anomaly doing during your conversation?
Agent Gadway: It just… sat there. Honestly, it was really unsettling. But it never tried leaving, it just stayed there. Once we continued our investigation of the house, it just followed us around, asking a few questions about what we were doing.
Dr. Gale: Did it seem familiar with the house?
Agent Gadway: Yes. It even helped with opening some locked doors, and finding rooms we missed.
Dr. Gale: Didn't that strike you as… a bit odd?
Agent Gadway: Yes. But our job was to look through the entire house, we weren't going to refuse a bit of help.
Dr. Gale: Do you feel that the anomaly could have had its own reasons for helping you?
Agent Gadway: Of course, who doesn't have their own incentives for doing things? It kept silent most of the time, but once it spoke, it kept suggesting that we leave the house as soon as possible.
Dr. Gale: Did it seem to be hiding anything?
Agent Gadway: I mean, how would we really know? We looked over the entire house, inside every hall, every room, every closet. It didn't seem alarmed by anything we found, it only seemed like it wanted to leave the house as soon as possible. And to be fair, so did we.
Dr. Gale: Alright then, that will be it for now. Thank you for your time.
Agent Gadway: No problem. It's been a pleasure.

Addendum XXXX.2: Interview
The following is an interview between Dr. Kennedy Gale and SCP-XXXX.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Kennedy Gale
<Begin Log>
Dr. Gale: Hello SCP-XXXX. Welcome to The Foundation.
SCP-XXXX: Uh… hi…
Dr. Gale: How do you feel about your time here?
SCP-XXXX: It's not… too bad…
Dr. Gale: I'm going to ask you a few questions. Okay?
SCP-XXXX: Yeah…
Dr. Gale: Thank you. Let's start here. When you hear people talking around you, do you recognize different languages, or do you hear everyone speaking the same way?
SCP-XXXX: Uh… When I hear people talking… I can hear different voices and words, but once it all enters my mind, it just translates and I understand it all.
Dr. Gale: Okay. And what about your speech? Are you aware of how varied it sounds to people listening, or does it always sound the same to you? Do you speak with a specific language in mind?
SCP-XXXX: Um… I'm not really sure about language. I just… think of something in my mind and then say it.
Dr. Gale: Alright then. Now I'm going to ask you some questions about the house we found you in. Is that okay?
SCP-XXXX: …
Dr. Gale: The circumstances surronding your containment are strange, especially regarding the children who passed away within the house. Did you have any interactions with them?
SCP-XXXX: Um… Yes?
Dr. Gale: How did they react to seeing, and hearing you?
SCP-XXXX: They were… loud. They spoke a lot. They said weird words, and it made my head hurt. I said a few words. And then they left. After a while, they were quiet.
Dr. Gale: You did know that they died, right?
SCP-XXXX: Well… Yes…
Dr. Gale: Their deaths have been marked as tragic accidents. However, there are many further possibilities. Were you, in any way, connected to their deaths, or do you know why they died?
SCP-XXXX: I know why they died… The first died of electrocution, then a concussion, then bleeding…
Dr. Gale: Hm… And how did you come to know this?
SCP-XXXX: I… live? In the house? I… heard them… die?
Dr. Gale: Do you feel in any way that you could have prevented their deaths? You were, after all, inside the house.
SCP-XXXX: No. There wasn't really any way to avoid anything that happened. It was all up to Fate.
Dr. Gale: Alright then… That will be it for now, thank you for cooperating. This interview is officially over.
<End Log>
Interviewer's Notes: Even though SCP-XXXX seems innocent enough, there's something strange about it. Its knowledge of the deaths, the circumstances regarding its containment, and even its word choice. Speaking with it causes a sense of unease and tension, as if one is waiting for something to happen. It could simply be anxiety or worry at interacting with an anomaly, but I am suggesting further analyzing of its discovery and actions.
Addendum XXXX.3: Meeting Tape
Dr. Irene: Alright Kennedy, why did you gather us all here?
Dr. Gale: You all attended the interview, right?
Dr. Brielle: Yes.
Dr. Dawn: Yes.
Dr. Irene: Me too.
Dr. Gale: Okay. Well, while SCP-XXXX was being returned to its usual containment cell, it saw guards leading away a D-Class and it seemed… very interested.
Dr. Brielle: How so?
Dr. Gale: It started asking who the D-Class was, then asked why he was there, what he was doing, where he was going. SCP-XXXX seemed so quiet before, only speaking after being spoken to, so it was rather surprising to see it so curious.
Dr. Brielle: And… what exactly are you suggesting?
Dr. Gale: I know this may seem… random… but I feel that allowing SCP-XXXX to engage in an… interview with a D-Class could be beneficial.
Dr. Dawn: Why?
Dr. Gale: I can't help but feel that SCP-XXXX is connected to what happened to those civilians…
Dr. Brielle: You think it killed them? With all due respect, that's absolutely ridiculous.
Dr. Gale: Maybe not killed them, but it could easily be connected to their deaths. There are so many questions I have about the house SCP-XXXX was found in, and I want answers.
Dr. Dawn: Well then ask. SCP-XXXX will either cooperate at first, or be convinced over time.
Dr. Gale: I know, but SCP-XXXX seemed very interested in the D-Class. Even more so after I explained the basic idea. It wanted to speak to one. It more or less requested. And at the same time, we can use a D-Class. SCP-XXXX can be all interested and excited, and speak with a D-Class, and at the same time, the D-Class can slowly start asking it questions. We'll be more likely to get honest replies that way.
Dr. Irene: I have to admit, this does make a bit of sense, and it could work. As long as a suitable D-Class is chosen. Specifically a calmer, more accustomed one. A friendly and talkative one is best.
Dr. Brielle: Seconding Irene. I agree that we do need to choose a D-Class carefully though.
Dr. Dawn: Agreed.
Dr. Gale: Alright then. Since everyone agrees, we can probably move on with this. I'd like to set up an interaction as soon as possible.
Dr. Irene: It'll definitely be interesting. I'd like to attend for sure.
Dr. Brielle: Yeah, anyways, if this ends up working and we find out what we want to know, then… ah… Anyone want to go out for some coffee? I could really do with a break from work.
Dr. Dawn: I'll go for sure. If we can fit in the interview tomorrow or the day after, then I'll definitely have time.
Dr. Irene: Count me in… We could go as a group… What do you think Gale?
Dr. Gale: Alright, alright. Just let me know when you guys are planning on going… And make sure not to get coffee with any sort of cream or milk mixed in, I have terrible milk allergies..
Dr. Irene: Aw, that must be pretty tough. I have fish allergies and they're awful. I always carry a back up EpiPen, in case something happens to the first…
Dr. Gale: Oh! My EpiPen expired a week ago… I keep forgetting to change it… Would you mind reminding me at some point?
Dr. Irene: Of course. But I should warn you, I-
Dr. Dawn: Hey, guys. We're starting to get off topic. I'd suggest that we end the tape recording since we're not talking about SCP-XXXX anymore…
Dr. Gale: Ah, right. Let me just click the—

Addendum XXXX.4: Interview
The following is an interview between SCP-XXXX and D-9742.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: D-9742
Date: August 9, 2013
<Begin Log>
D-9742: Uh… Hi there? You're SCP-XXXX, right?
SCP-XXXX: Yeah… you're a D-Class…. right?
D-9742: Yep! My number is 9742. D-9742.
SCP-XXXX: Do you… have an actual name?
D-9742: Oh… yeah, I guess you can call me Oliver if you want to.
SCP-XXXX: Oh! I met someone named Oliver… once…
D-9742: Oh, really? Who?
SCP-XXXX: I think his full name was Oliver McKay, he had a sister named Claire, and his best friend was named Cooper Cassidy.
D-9742: Oh. Was he a friend of yours?
SCP-XXXX: No, I just knew him for a bit. Then he died.
D-9742: O-oh… I'm… sorry for your loss?
SCP-XXXX: No, it's fine! People die all the time. His death wasn't very painful anyways, it ended after a few minutes.
D-9742: Oh… that seems… interesting… thank you for telling me…
SCP-XXXX: I've known a lot of people who died! I remember a lot of kids, some of their parents, and once an old lady. She was really sad and lonely, and I felt a bit bad for her, but once she was dead, it was all over. So that was okay.
D-9742: Okaaaaay… but… you didn't… kill them? Right.
SCP-XXXX: No! Why would I kill someone? I was just there when they died. People die all the time: everyone has to die, and no matter when or how it happens, it was all up to Fate. People can't avoid death…
D-9742: Who told you this stuff? I mean… you're an anomaly…. I think it's the fact that you look like a kid that's putting me off…. I hope it's not rude to ask, but how old are you?
SCP-XXXX: I'm… not sure? But pretty old. But age doesn't really matter, does it? Eventually I'll be gone, like everyone else. And nothing will matter.
D-9742: Right. So. Uh… Do you want to…. talk about anything?
SCP-XXXX: Sure! Would you like to talk about yourself for a bit?
D-9742: Okay… My… title I guess, is D-9742. I'm just a D-Class. And I… work here. Sort of. I got here a week ago. When did you get… contained?
SCP-XXXX: Four days ago.
D-9742: Huh. You kept track of that, but not your age?
SCP-XXXX: Days are easy to keep track of. But years are hundreds of days, piled up, and I don't like adding all them. Once it's longer than a week, I don't like counting.
D-9742: You don't like math, huh? I remember a… little kid. Like you. She didn't like math either… (looks away and smiles) but she wasn't too bad at it. She just didn't like it.
SCP-XXXX: What was her name?
D-9742: Oh… Uh… Why do you need to know?
SCP-XXXX: I like remembering people's names. It helps me keep track.
D-9742: Oh… okay. Her name was Amelia. Amelia Finch.
SCP-XXXX: Okay! Amelia Finch… that's a pretty name…
D-9742: Yeah, it was… it suited her perfectly too…
SCP-XXXX: "Was"? Is she dead?
D-9742: Look, kid, I don't know why you're so obsessed with dead people, but it's starting to creep me out, and I don't want to talk about it.
SCP-XXXX: Oh… sorry. Was she… close to you?
D-9742: Yeah. She was my daughter…
SCP-XXXX: Oh… I'm sorry? I remember a long time ago when my family died. I was sad at first… really sad… it hurt a lot…. but after a bit, I learned that there was no point in mourning. I mean, they were dead anyways, they were meant to die, crying didn't do anything.
D-9742: Your family? Like, your entire family?
SCP-XXXX: Oh, yeah! My mom, dad, and brother. I'm not allowed to say their names because… ah… (starts fidgeting with hands) … it's not really that important!
D-9742: Oh God… your entire family? How?
SCP-XXXX: It was just robbers. They just broke in, killed everyone, stole stuff, you know? I hid in the closet when I heard people coming, and once I got out of the closet, my family was all dead.
D-9742: Woah… uh… that must have been pretty hard for you…
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, when I was younger, I was kind of stupid. I got really upset and a bit angry, and just sat there crying. For a long time. But now, I've learned that whatever happens doesn't really matter too much! Whatever Fate throws at me, I'm ready!
D-9742: Oh… I mean, I don't think mourning is… stupid. I think that you should be sad if someone important dies. I mean, they deserve to be mourned, don't they?
SCP-XXXX: Maybe they deserve to, but do they want to? Would they want you to just sit back and be sad all the time? Wouldn't they want you to make the most of your life while you still have it?
D-9742: …
SCP-XXXX: Sorry, I think I'm talking too much. Would you like a turn to speak?
D-9742: N-no… I mean, sure, but you're not talking too much. Your views on this kind of stuff are actually… pretty interesting? I mean, I don't exactly agree with you, but it's… sort of nice to have someone to talk to. I mean, you're a kid… but you sort of aren't. I… I feel like I'm rambling too much, sorry—
SCP-XXXX: No! It's fine! It's been so long since I've had an actual conversation with an actual person! Just… talking for the sake of talking, you know? Not someone trying to explore my house like it's a free amusement park, or someone asking me a million aggressive questions… just talking.
D-9742: Yeah…. I feel you on that… when they told me I was going to be talking to an anomaly, I didn't expect someone so… you know… human?
(rest of conversation omitted for irrelevance)
<END LOG>
Attending Researcher's Notes: After questioning D-9742, he reported no feelings of anxiety or tension while speaking with SCP-XXXX, instead reporting that he felt strangely relieved and excited. At the same time, D-9742 has been able to extract fascinating information from SCP-XXXX. I suggest continuing this "interviews" until we've satisfied our questions.
Addendum XXXX.5: Interview
The following is an interview between Dr. Kennedy Gale and SCP-XXXX.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Kennedy Gale
Date: September 13, 2013
<Begin Log>
Dr. Gale: Hello SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX: Hi there. Are you going to ask me more questions?
Dr. Gale: Yep…. are you ready to start?
SCP-XXXX: Okay.
Dr. Gale: Thank you. Now, first off, you recently had your fifth interview with D-9742. Correct?
SCP-XXXX: …. yeah?
Dr. Gale: In your first two interviews, you seemed oddly talkative about the house you were found in, and previous events within your life. However, by the third interview, you seemed to completely close down on the topic. Why is that?
SCP-XXXX: I just… shouldn't be talking about it?
Dr. Gale: Why not?
SCP-XXXX: Uh…. well…. it happened in the past? It- it's not important…
Dr. Gale: And yet, you seem extremely interested in D-9742's past, and have been asking many questions about it…
SCP-XXXX: Well… uh…
Dr. Gale: If you're trying to hide something from us then—
SCP-XXXX: I'm not hiding anything! I'm just tired of saying the same things and answering the same questions!
Dr. Gale: … You seem… aggravated. (for lack of a better word, i mean something like "annoyed" but my mind went blank)
SCP-XXXX: Sorry, I just…. I'm tired.
Dr. Gale: (looks down at clipboard) Yeah… so am I….
SCP-XXXX: Really? Did anything… happen?
Dr. Gale: (starts crumpling the edge of the interview paper) Yeah… isn't something always happening?
SCP-XXXX: Was it something bad?
Dr. Gale: I guess you could say that— (looks up) Wait, that's not important. We're supposed to be remaining on topic, this conversation isn't—
SCP-XXXX: It's fine. If you want to talk about anything that happened, then you can just-
Dr. Gale: No, it's fine, and I'm fine. I'll just go out and get some coffee later. I felt a bit tired, that was all.
SCP-XXXX: Are you sure?
Dr. Gale: … Yes? I'm just feeling a bit—
SCP-XXXX: No, I meant the coffee. Are you really sure that you want to go out and get coffee? There's coffee in the break room, isn't there? Or maybe you could make coffee at home?
Dr. Gale: … what? Why does it matter? I'm just going out to get some coffee, and it definitely doesn't concern you.
SCP-XXXX: (closes eyes and bites lips)
Dr. Gale: Are you… alright?
SCP-XXXX: Swelling.
Dr. Gale: … what?
SCP-XXXX: Oh… uh…. you just…. you asked how I was, and I stubbed my toe earlier and… uh…. it's… swelling?
Dr. Gale: Oh… alright. Do you need any medical assistance?
SCP-XXXX: No, it- it feels better already, it's fine.
Dr. Gale: (sighs) Alright then, we've already gone far off-topic, I think it's best to just end the interview here.
<End Log>
Addendum XXXX.6: Meeting Tape
Brielle: Why is Gadway here? Isn't he—
Dawn: I started the recording, please, just don't ask any questions, and listen to what I'm saying.
Dawn: Something very tragic happened recently, and I thought that the best way to let everyone know was to tell you all in perso—
Gadway: Where's Gale? Doesn't he normally attend meetings like this?
Irene: Oh God, did something happen to him?
Brielle: What is it? Did he—
Dawn: If you guys would let me talk then I'd tell you.
Brielle: …
Dawn: (sighs) This will be a bit hard for everyone to talk, but Dr. Kennedy Gale passed away yesterday.
Irene: … what???
Brielle: But- there- there's no way! How did he just… die? You've got to be joking, right?
Dawn: Why would I joke about something this serious? He passed away yesterday. He was drinking coffee at a café. Apparently, there was a trace of milk inside his drink. His EpiPen was expired, and he died from anaphylaxis.
(silence for a period of approximately 82 seconds)
Gadway: … he's seriously dead?
Dawn: Yes. He passed away yesterday.
Gadway: Why didn't anyone tell us sooner?
Dawn: The information came late yesterday, and there was no point in letting everyone know at night. The most logical thing to do was to tell everyone in person in the morning.
Brielle: Are… are we supposed to say anything? He's dead. He's dead, and he died, and—
Irene: Are you… okay? You look a bit pale?
Brielle: Oh no, don't worry, I'm perfectly fine—
Brielle: Of course I'm not fine! I just found out that the researcher I've been working under for the past 14 years is dead! How am I supposed to react? What am I even supposed to say, with this all being recorded? Some stupid shit about "dying in the dark so others can live in the light"? He didn't die fighting an anomaly, he died from a cup of fucking coffee!
Dawn: You know what, I think this is a good time to end the recording. Everyone is excused from work for the day. Just take some time to rest and recover. If anyone feels the need to speak with a psychologist, then there are plenty available for scheduling.
Irene: Wait, SCP-XXXX has… had a scheduled interview with Dr. Gale in a week. I understand that we'll have someone else take over his position, but should we tell SCP-XXXX that he died?
Gadway: I mean, why not?
Irene: And at the same time, why? There's really no point in telling SCP-XXXX, maybe it's better to just not let it know.

Addendum XXXX.7: Interview
The following is an interview between SCP-XXXX and D-9742.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: D-9742
<Begin Log>
D-9742: Hello there, how've you been?
SCP-XXXX: (smiles) Not too bad, how about you?
D-9742: Just the same as always! Anything interesting happen with you?
SCP-XXXX: Not really, it's just— oh. Yeah, one thing did happen?
D-9742: What?
SCP-XXXX: Dr. Gale died.
D-9742: O-oh. That was one of the researchers… the blonde guy with glasses, right?
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
D-9742: I- I'm not sure if you two were close, but I'm sorry. I know that you don't exactly support the idea of mourning, but still, having someone you know die is pretty tough.
SCP-XXXX: Yeah, it sort of… wakes you up. Reminds you that your own life could end at any time, in any way—
D-9742: Yeah. Speaking of which, how did he die? It's kinda weird for a middle-aged guy to just drop down dead, isn't it?
SCP-XXXX: It was just anaphylaxis. He was drinking coffee, but it had traces of milk in it. He had an allergic reaction, but his EpiPen was expired, so he… died.
D-9742: Ah. Alright. Kind of… a stupid thing to do. Have an allergic reaction and not keep a functioning EpiPen at hand.
SCP-XXXX: It wasn't entirely his fault, he did ask two other people to remind him.
D-9742: And let me guess, they forgot.
SCP-XXXX: Well, at least one of them did.
D-9742: Well if the other one remembered, then why didn't they tell him?
SCP-XXXX: I dunno, do we have to keep talking about this?
D-9742: No, if you don't want to, then we won't. Is there anything you do want to talk about?
SCP-XXXX: Yes. Can you talk to me about your old life again?
D-9742: (smiles) Alright. I used to live in a house. It was… pretty big I remember, two floors, four bedrooms, two bathrooms. My wife and I had decent jobs, we made good money, we paid off the debt for our house in a few years… I remember that she wanted to get into real estate— you know, buying houses and renting them out.
D-9742: We had a daughter named Amelia, she was nine. Nine years old. Close to her tenth birthday. She wanted to have a huge party… invite all her friends. I remember the names of some of her friends… there were two girls… Aubrey and Ella. Then there was a short boy named Thomas. Those three were closest to her, they had playdates all the time…
D-9742: We were already planning it… what kind of cake, she'd have, whether it would be at home or whether we'd rent some place out, what kinds of gifts she wanted, what food we'd get…
SCP-XXXX: What type of cake did she want?
D-9742: Vanilla. Just plain vanilla. (smiles) She used to always talk about how much she loved vanilla, then I'd counter with saying that vanilla tasted like nothing, and chocolate was much better. We'd have little conversations like that all the time.
SCP-XXXX: And… and then what happened?
D-9742: …
SCP-XXXX: It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, but I'd really, really like to know. And I'm sure that it would be good for you as well. You're struggling with loss, and if you get it off your chest and tell me…. then I'll understand your pain. And won't that make us both happier?
D-9742: I… I guess…. Do you really want to hear it?
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
D-9742: Alright then… The night before my life fell apart, I can remember everything clearly. It was a Wednesday. Amelia had Math homework she really wanted to finish. Normally, her mom helped with that stuff, but she was away on a business meeting. So it was just me.
D-9742: It was all these word problems with long division, and it was getting really late, so I promised that if she went to bed early, I'd wake her up early, and we could both look them over in the morning. She went off to bed, and after washing the dishes, so did I.
D-9742: Just like I promised, I woke up earlier than usual and went to her room to wake her, but…
SCP-XXXX: What?
D-9742: You know what happened. She was dead. Just… dead. God knows how she died… the police clearly didn't. There were no signs of a break in, no finger prints or violent murder weapons lying around… I was the only one in the house at the time, and I was convicted. First-degree murder. The rest is history…
SCP-XXXX: I- I'm sorry. That must have been really hard for you to go through. If it… comforts you at all, then, uh, it was all your Fate. And hers. Now she's in peace, without any chaos or suffering from this world.
D-9742: Yeah… makes me wonder when I'm going to join her…
SCP-XXXX: …
D-9742: You know, I'm done with this. I really am. I'm done with being treated like a freaking lab rat, I'm done with being punished for something I never did, I'm done with not living a normal life like a normal person. None of this should have ever happened to me, and yet it did. I got dragged away from my perfectly normal, happy life, and thrown… here.
SCP-XXXX: I understand that you're unhappy, but it's best to be patient. Everything is up to Fate, and there's really no point in feeling upset about it.
D-9742: And look at you. You're so patient, you don't care about anything that's happening to you. Your entire family died. As far as I know, you've spent most of your life living in an old house, all alone. And then suddenly you get taken away by The Foundation.
SCP-XXXX: To… to convince myself not to worry about anything, I always tell myself that everything I'm going through must have a higher purpose. Maybe it's benefitting someone else. Maybe lots of other people…
D-9742: But those other people aren't us. Or our family. Because they're dead.
SCP-XXXX: Life and death… they're just both tests, temporary stages we're in to see how we react, to prove our worth. There's no point in feeling strongly about anything. It will all go away.
D-9742: Yeah sure, we'll all die eventually, but isn't it better for us to die happy? Isn't it better for us to live a good life and die, surrounded by people who care about us? If I die here, I'll just be another number crossed off on some scientist's clipboard. But I'm not just a number. I'm a person. I used to have a life, I was happy, I could do what I wanted. Why should all these personnel live like normal people, when I'm not? When you're not?
D-9742: You're not just a number either, you're a living, breathing person. You used to have a normal life too. Sure, everything is up to Fate, but can't we control our own Fate? Aren't we in charge of what happens to us?
SCP-XXXX: I…. what are you saying?
D-9742: Let's leave this terrible place, and go somewhere that we can be treated like real people and live real lives.
SCP-XXXX: I…
D-9742: Let's breach.
SCP-XXXX: It… That… It's not just as simple as that! So… so much could happen! We could get caught and punished or… or someone could… shoot… us…. If… if you really want to leave, then maybe… you could go on your own! I'll just slow you down?
D-9742: No. We're leaving together, or we're both staying and dying here. If I left without you, I'd never forgive myself.
SCP-XXXX: But… but I'd forgive you! I'm okay here. But you… you're probably also okay? No one here would actually… hurt us? Well.. besides… (stares down at floor)
D-9742: Besides who?
SCP-XXXX: I dunno… Some of the agent and researchers might… kill… someone…. or eachother… I- I'm not sure, I just…
SCP-XXXX: I don't like it here. It feels like everything is all quiet and calm on the surface, like a peaceful mountain, but soon enough, I'll find out that it's a volcano, and it'll explode on everything. I liked being in the house more… it was more quiet…. there were less people… and I knew what was going to happen… There are so many people here…. everything is all tangled and confused…
D-9742: Hey, it's alright. We're going to get out of here, I promise.
SCP-XXXX: You… shouldn't promise things like that. Things you might not be able to… make come true. Things that you're not in charge of.
D-9742: Fine then. We're going to get out of here, or I'll die trying.
SCP-XXXX: (flinches) Don't say things like that.
D-9742: But I mean it. I'm tired of living like this. Every night, all I can think of is the life I used to have. And the fact that I can get it back. Both of us, we can breach and leave this place, and build ourselves a new life. Far, far away from concrete cells… and flashing lights…. and stone faced researchers..
SCP-XXXX: (closes eyes) Bullets.
D-9742: Hm? Yeah, and guards and agents and guns and bullets— We're gonna get out of here!
SCP-XXXX: (softly) Or die trying…

Attending Researcher's Notes: (something about how the idea of them meeting and breaching isn't a huge deal, but still suggesting keeping a closer eye on them, pausing interactions n' stuff)
Addendum XXXX.8: Meeting Tape
Irene: What is it now, Brielle?
Brielle: Seriously? You don't know?
Dawn: To be fair, you never told us anything. You just called a meeting.
Brielle: When D-9742 asked about how XXXX was doing and whether anything happened, it replied that "one thing did happen" and mentioned Gale's death, along with perfect detail on how he died.
Irene: …
Dawn: XXXX could have… heard it from somewhere. Maybe one of the guards mentioned it?
Brielle: I've already asked them. None of them mentioned Gale's death around it.
Irene: Fine then. XXXX has knowledge on Gale's death without being told— what are you saying?
Brielle: I think… XXXX is responsible for his death.
Dawn: What?
Irene: That's completely ridiculous! Gale died from a cup of coffee! What are you saying, that XXXX somehow sneaked milk into it? That XXXX tried convincing him to get coffee? If anything, it was doing the opposite!
Brielle: Exactly! I've looked through past interviews… isn't it strange how insistent XXXX was on Gale not going out to get coffee? I'm not saying it necessarily killed him. But it knew he was going to die. It didn't warn anyone in a clear manner. And it may have been connected to his death.
Dawn: And… how so?
Brielle: In the last interview she had with Gale, after he confirmed he was going out to get coffee, she said "swelling". And how did Gale die? His throat swoll up, he couldn't breathe, and he died.
Irene: … but… XXXX only said that because it stubbed its toe. Its toe was… swelling.
Brielle: Seriously? Did you believe that? It was nothing but a pitiful, made up excuse.
Irene: Well… still. This makes no sense. So… XXXX knew he was going to die? Apparently now, XXXX can prophesize people's deaths? Why hasn't this happened before? Why only to Gale? What is everything was just a big coincidence? You're basing this entire… ridiculous theory, on one word, and information XXXX may have heard from anyone else. If we're going to accept such an idea, and act on it, then we need suitable evidence, of which you have none.
Brielle: …. what? Are you serious? She knew Gale died! She knew how he died! She said swelling! And Gale died, from—
Dawn: Brielle, calm down right now. There is no need to lose your temper over this. For the time being, the "evidence" you've brought up could have simply been coincidence. I believe that you're simply upset over Gale's death, and wish to put the blame on someone.
Brielle: You say that like it was even remotely my fault! Irene was supposed to remind him!
Irene: I… I forgot, and…. I couldn't…
Brielle: Fine then, let's say that XXXX doesn't have any anomalous abilities we're unaware of. Let's say it simply heard some guards gossiping, simply was concerned about Gale's coffee intake, and simply stubbed its toe, and chose to complain about this through particular word choice. Then, that leaves all the fault with you.
Irene: I… I didn't forget on purpose…
Dawn: Exactly! It was no one's fault, so why don't we just end this conversation and—
Brielle: Is no one going to believe me? You all know the truth! You all know it, but you're too scared to accept it! You're too worried that the blame will be put on you, because we had such loose procedures for XXXX, because we let it interact with so many people, because we never even considered the possibility that—
Dawn: Brielle, stop. That's enough.
Brielle: What about the breach, huh? No one's worried that D-9742 made a stupid promise that he was going to breach containment with XXXX??
Dawn: That's absolutely ridiculous. The chance of a breach, then of them meeting, and making it out alive— it's simply impossible.
Brielle: Yes, well, what if they do? What if XXXX uses its death prophecy powers to—
Irene: XXXX doesn't have any "death prophecy" powers! You're simply being ridiculous. Use your mind! For once!
Brielle: If you'd used your mind, Gale wouldn't be dead! You would have reminded him, and he could've been here right now!
Irene: Well according to you, XXXX "prophesized his death". So how could it be my fault if it was "meant to happen"?
Dawn: Exactly. Now let's all stop fighting, and calm down. XXXX has no powers that we are unaware of. D-9742 and SCP-XXXX are not going to breach.
Brielle: Not if I have a say in the matter…
Addendum XXXX.9: Interview
The following is an interview between Dr. Amaya Irene and Dr. Eliza Brielle, and SCP-XXXX.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Eliza Brielle, Dr. Amaya Irene
Foreword: [Small passage describing the interview]
<Begin Log>
<End Log>
Interview w/ Brielle, Irene: Irene does most of the talking, asking how XXXX knew about Gale, tries being gentle, but expresses annoyment as XXXX simply says “someone told me”. Brielle breaks in impatiently, asking more roughly, and almost shouting about her, accusing her of killing Gale. Irene gets flipped out and tries getting Brielle to calm down. Brielle won’t, she starts ranting about D-9742’s breach plan, says she’ll stop it and confirms, Irene says she’ll terminate the interview if Brielle doesn’t calm down. Brielle starts yelling about how she’ll get guards and- Bullets. Bullets? Brielle gets super angy at XXXX, but Irene terminates interview.
Addendum XXXX.10: Meeting Tape
Meeting w/ Dawn, Brielle, Irene: Here we are again. Irene points out what happened, Brielle yells about how everyone’s being stupid. Irene says she’s letting her emotions ahead of her logic, Brielle yells that Irene is doing the same, denying the possibility that she had anything to do with Gale’s death for not pushing him to change the epipen. Irene says that’s so random but seems ashamed. Dawn says it was no one’s fault, it was a tragic accident, it was Fate. Everyone flinches and they agree that there’s something uncanny about XXXX. But not what Brielle says. Irene asks what they think about the breach. Brielle says that she’d sooner die then let it happen. Irene points out that she could die that way. Dawn tells her to stop believing this stupid fate theory. Irene says she doesn’t. Everyone is confused. Dawn decides they should all calm down, and continue this conversation later. Brielle says she might not be there. Irene tells her to stop being so creepy.
