Description: SCP-XXXX is a leather bound book roughly 6 inches wide and 9 inches long. The cover of SCP-XXXX is brown in color and has inscribed “the book that gives and takes” on its spine. When opened SCP-XXXX displays no anomalous properties However upon writing about a skill or information in SCP-XXXX that a subject does not know in question format, the subject will acquire all the knowledge they were looking for, but in doing so subjects will forget something foundation personnel perceived as “equal value”. This “equal value” has been recorded to range from forgetting the taste of apple to forgetting a person's first language. When the knowledge of information has been acquired SCP-XXXX will place in the knowledge it took from the subject and place it underneath where the subject wrote, always in the same language as the words written above it. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX choses what to take.
Addendum: Foundation staff have been calling the information “equal value” as it is perceived that the information it takes is based on how much Knowledge a subject is asking for.
