Item #: SCP-4156
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4156 has and should be contained in a 10x10x10 meter corundum box. The box should be a meter thick. It should contain outside ventilation, coming in 10 minutes at a time using the vent switch connecting to the ceiling. The vent must be in a grid shape, not letting the SCP pass through. The ground of the room should have a layer of sponge, at 1 meter in height to soak up SCP-4156's byproduct, 4156-O. The sponge should be replaced monthly. The door of the containment zone must have a blast door, with sensors on it, to make sure SCP-4156 isn't trying to breach. There should be another blast door after the central door to the containment zone, in case if the first one breaks open.
Description: SCP-4156 is a frog-like creature which weights at about 200kg. It is about 1 meter in height. It has a very thick layer of skin, with what seems an outer-protective shell protecting its head. Sticking out of its head at nearly all times is its tongue, which has been measured to be able to expand to 4 meters in length, when no fresh oxygen is in contact with it.
SCP-4156's tounge has been observed to be serrated, sharp enough to cut through the skin of its foe, causing major blood lost, but not instant death. If a person is struck with SCP-4156's tongue, also known as SCP-4156-1, then they are in need of immediate medical attention. The person bit must take in a pill of SCP-500, as no cure has been found yet to stop the immense bleeding, which brings in certain bacteria released from the saliva, also known as 4156-O.
SCP-4156's byproduct, 4156-O is released from its tongue. There is no confirmed source of the saliva, but studies have figured out it probably is from the type of air. Scientists aren't sure how yet, as for many mysteries for the anomaly, but they do see a difference. 4156-O is extremely acidic, and can easily burn through skin. To make sure the facility doesn't burn down, there are special sponges under the SCP at all times, to make sure it all gets soaked up. SCP-4156's outer shell on its head, is like a helmet with its tongue sticking out, being resistant to 4156-O. It's been studied that it does have some energy in them, comparable to a nuclear reactor for a month's worth of saliva. It is being debated between the O5 council, due to the threat it is.
Addendum: SCP-4156 was found deep in the Amazon Rainforest, nearby a native village. At the native village, they have drawings of the SCP being a hero to them. When SCP officials took them in for questioning about the creature, they said that SCP-4156 hadn't ever attacked them. If anything it had defended them against enemy villages for thousands of years. It was their god, which gotten taken away from them. Nothing will be coordinated to let them see the creature, as when the creature attacks other "enemy villages," thousands are being molten down every day due to 4156-O. It was always found in deep caves, without any fresh air. When people came, it would spring out and use all the saliva it had, then retreated to the cave.
SCP-4156 has never got the chance to be photographed, as it is only hostile towards people with non-primitive supplies usually, perhaps explaining why it supports the natives so much. The foundation has received a fly-by shot of it in its cave though (see picture that will come out soon.)
