Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5024 is to be kept in place at all time at [REDACTED]. Moving SCP-5024 will cause a great disturbance, possibly damaging/breaking SCP-5024. A number cabins will surround SCP-5024 to study its properties. Any civilian attempting to interact with SCP-5024 is to be kept away from the top. If said civilian proceeds further, security will escort them away from the premises and fined for damaging property. The civilians are also not allowed to enter any of the cabins whatsoever, and if they proceed to do so, they will be transferred to D-class. Any personnel at the site will wear clothes typically found on campers and stay inside the cabin. They are to study the properties of SCP-5024 and conduct tests when necessary.
Description: SCP-5024 is a standard 6 x 10 foot American flag on a hollow 40 foot aluminum pole. When interacting with SCP-5024, putting small sized objects in the top of the pole, like caps, coins, [REDACTED], and marbles, etc; produce a different item when the object hits the ground, though the item is put inside the ground within a 10km2 radius. SCP-5024 not only changes the properties, but it also creates a loud sound that can sound like [REDACTED], or metal scraping upon metal, at a measured [REDACTED] dB. SCP-5024 is located at [REDACTED] in the nearby forest.
Testing Procedures When conducting tests on SCP-5024, the site is to be locked down. D-Class personnel are not necessary, but if required, have them be fitted by noise-cancelling industrial headphones so that when recovered, the D-Class did not suffer any effects from the loud noise created by SCP-5024. Recover the item immediately after the noise, signaling that whatever has been done is complete.
