Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: When entering the containment unit of SCP-XXXX, the doors have to be closed afterwards. Under no circumstances should the line on the floor be crossed by anyone but a Class D individual.
SCP-XXXX is located in the corner of containment unit 457. It never moves away from the corner.
On the floor, a line indicates the area in the containment unit that non Class-D-subjects are not allowed to cross.
Object does not seem to need nutrition or produce waste. Need for breathing has yet to be confirmed.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a male human of about 16 years of age with brown, unkempt hair. Exact data for its appearance are currently not available.
SCP-XXXX usually sits on the floor, facing the direction it was put in. In that position, its legs are put up in front of it while its arms seem to be scuffling its hair. The figure of SCP-XXXX seems to be completely frozen in this state.
SCP-XXXX was found in ███████ High-School sitting on the floor of an unused classroom. █████ ██████, a teacher of said school, was found dead lying in front of SCP-XXXX. He had seemingly slit his throat.
The team of police officers ordered to secure the area suddenly attacked each other, killing every individual in said team plus in under a minute. This was reported by ██████ ████.
A team of Containment Specialists discovered that everything in the field of view of said entity had been subject to its effects.
The first variant of containment Specialists suggested was putting a mask on SCP-XXXX's face to hide everything from its view. The mask had no effect though, the same effects as before could be observed. Afterwards it was placed in a corner of containment unit 457, facing away from the entrance.
When Class D subjects were sent to investigate SCP-XXXX, they reported a strange singing appear from SCP-XXXX as they got closer to it. The song could not be heard on the recorder units they were given. Approximately 5 seconds after reporting to hearing the singing for the first time, individuals stopped responding to commands. The connection to their devices cut off before they had reached SCP-XXXX.
In Test 5a, three Class D individuals were sent inside the containment unit at once. Two were instructed to not move towards SCP-XXXX and report on happenings. According to them, they could not hear the singing the other was reporting.
When he entered the area in front of SCP-XXXX, he abruptly ran towards the two subjects that had stayed behind, quickly killing them before killing himself.
Test 5b had the subjects equipped with noise protection. The results did not differ.
There was a line drawn on the floor 13 metres away from SCP-XXXX, indicating the area in which subjects started to report hearing the singing and disobeying commands.
Other tests have yet to be made.

Addendum: Dr. Charles Gears, Researcher, 17/03/1981 – Class B personnel seemed to be affected by SCP-XXXX when crossing the corridor behind it, hearing the reported singing and not reacting to others. They could be moved out of the radius before anything else happened.
The effect does not seem to be a consistent occurance as there was no such event before. The corridor is currently under quarantine. Class D personnel is to be sent to investigate the phenomenon soon.
