SCP-4134

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment: SCP-4134 is to be kept in an isolated room, at least 55 meters away from any other containment chambers or areas of high density human population within the facility.

Description: SCP-4134 takes the form of a small wooden box with a red button on it. The box secretes a red viscous fluid, named SCP-4134-1. SCP-4134 itself is hollow, however all attempts to open it have been unsuccessful. Chemical tests revealed that the object is made of an abnormal carbon-based molecule, similar to diamond.

When the button is pressed, SCP-4134-2 manifested 1 meter above all humans within a 50 meter radius. Those wearing hazmat suits, or those in places with ceilings lower than 2 meters were unaffected.

As an uncommon occurrence, SCP-4134 has randomly activated on a smaller scale, it’s affecting range is limited to a 20 meter radius at these times. No pattern has been noted except that, afterwards it enters a ‘dormant’ state where it does not activate (unless purposefully activated via button press) for a period of six (6) months.

Addendum: Description of SCP-4134-1: SCP-4134-1 is a red viscous liquid, similar to blood, however all chemical tests have been inconclusive. If the liquid comes into physical contact with human skin, an unknown reaction occurs which causes extreme mental distress, affected victims are named SCP-4134-3. After observation of SCP-4134-3 over 48 hours, the mental distress seems to disappear, however permanent signs of PTSD are evident. Class B amnestics were given to victims, which seemed to calm them for a short while, until eventually they would have another fit of psychological trauma and revert back to their former state.

Addendum: Description of SCP-4134-2: Little is known about SCP-4134-2, it is not known how it manifests, or how it generates SCP-4134-1. It takes the shape of a small raincloud, sizes vary, but on average stays between 10cm3 and 5cm3.

Appendix A: Aquisition of SCP-4134:

SCP-4134 was aquired accidentally after Agent █████ reported a large amount of civilians displaying brutal violence in the city of Dallas, Texas. An MTF team was called in to subdue the affected, after little resistance from locals, research teams tracked down SCP-4134 and brought it to Facility 18.

Test A - ██/██/██ - conducted by Dr. Chris Fargo

Subject: D-2835

Procedure: Subject D-2835 was sent into the chamber accompanied by two armed guards. D-2835 was told to press the button exactly once.

Results: D-2835 complied, approximately one (1) second later he showed signs of extreme mental stress before SCP-4134-2 manifested exactly one (1) meter above all humans in a 50 meter radius, and began raining SCP-4134-1. While the guards were experiencing intense mental trauma, D-2835 stole a pistol from Agent █████'s sidearm holster, and proceeded to shoot them both dead, and then himself.

Analysis: The person who presses the button seems to have an immediate reaction, irrespective of whether or not contact was made with SCP-4134-1. Subjects also seem to have highly homicidal and suicidal tendencies, most likely due to the mental distress and/or insanity.

Interrogation of Affected Victim A - ██/██/██

Interviewed - SCP-4134-3.
Interviewer - Dr. Chris Fargo.
Dr. Fargo: Hello? Can you hear me?
4134-3: I can hear everything. Everything. And nothing.
Dr. Fargo: What is your name? Can you tell me your name?
4134-3: I have no name. We have no name. All of us.
Dr. Fargo: Us? Who is ‘us’?
4134-3: Those of us who see the truth!
Dr. Fargo: What truth? What do you mean by that?
SCP-4134-3 broke free of it's restraints and lunged at Dr. Fargo, a present guard terminated it immediately.
Dr. Fargo: That was a long shot… Why do we bother talking to insane people?

Test B - ██/██/██ - conducted by Dr. Chris Fargo

Subject: D-7342

Procedure: Subject D-7342 was instructed to enter the chamber alone. All staff personnel were more than 55 meters away in safe observing rooms. D-7342 was instructed to press the button.

Results: D-7342 complied, and as suspected was turned into SCP-4134-3. Subject started screaming until his vocal chords ripped. 4134-3 started biting its own hands until they bled, and wrote 'find the truth' in its own blood on the chamber walls. 4134-3 then hit its own head against the wall until fatal brain haemorrhaging killed it.

Analysis: Autopsy reports on SCP-4134-3 show that the words 'find the truth' were burned into its retinas. 4134-3 bit both of its index fingers off and cut both of its wrists with its teeth. Heavy brain damage was also found as well as a snapped neck.

Test C - ██/██/██ - conducted by Dr. Chris Fargo>
Subject: D-2332

Procedure: Subject D-2332 was instructed to enter the chamber accompanied by two hazmat wearing guards. Subject was told to press the button.

Results: Subject refused at first, a present guard threatened him until he complied. D-2332 pressed the button and was turned into SCP-4134-3. 4134-3 was sedated immediately and detained in interrogation room ███. When the subject woke, he attempted escape but failed. Dr. Chris Fargo spoke with the subject, attempting to get an answer from him. Subject refused to comply and screamed any time Dr. Fargo spoke. Subject was kept in a containment cell for a period of one week under direct observation and restraints as well as regular sedatives. After six (6) days subject seemed to calm down, showing no signs of insanity or PTSD. After this week, D-2332 was escorted to interrogation room ███ and questioned again. Subject spoke calmly and immaturely as if talking to a small infant. When questioned what the 'truth' was, subject said it was the 'meaning to the void, to the darkness.' when asked to elaborate, D-2332's eyes began to bleed, while repeating 'the void talks to me. It wants to talk to you.' six (6) times then refused to speak. Subject was escorted back to his

Analysis:

Conclusion: SCP-4134 is not to be interacted with by any personnel under Level 3 clearance. During its random activation period, any personnel not wearing hazmat protection gear are not permitted to enter the chamber area.
