Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 2x2x2 room on a pedestal at Area-███ in the ████████ ocean. The room is to be password protected with nitrous oxide gas dispensers in the ceiling and the floor. The door is to be water tight to prevent the gas leaking. When SCP-XXXX-A is NOT inside SCP-XXXX-B the room is to be filled with nitrous oxide¹ and the door locked. Under NO circumstances is SCP-XXXX-B to be opened when SCP-XXXX-A is out of SCP-XXXX-B. Any personal found doing so, without O5 permission, WILL be demoted or terminated.

Description:
SCP-XXXX refers to two objects and a dimension. SCP-XXXX-A is a map, estimated to have been made between 14██-15██. It only shows known territories of Europe and parts of Asia and Africa. It is fairly accurate, covering most of the known world at the time. On the west side there is the inscription Here be Dragons. If it touches water, it will immediately return to SCP-XXXX-B. Attempting to sail past -██ latitude while it is on the ship will result in a heavy fog appearing. Any GPS trackers installed on the ship will fail and video won't transmit. This is believed to be the only way to enter SCP-XXXX- C.

SCP-XXXX-B is a wooden chest. The inside of it is covered in silk. Its properties manifest when SCP-XXXX-A is taken out of it and then it is opened. SCP-XXXX-A will appear inside but whatever was carrying SCP-XXXX-A will disappear. All attempts to track the missing objects and personnel have failed. Nitrous oxide has to be deployed in the test chamber to prevent personnel from opening it.

SCP-XXXX-C is the dimension [[footnote] Not confirmed yet, we haven't got ships far enough yet to see. - Dr. ████████ [[/footnote]] that people enter with the map. Once the fog clears the sailors have reported² clear waters and clear sky's. Half an hour they report hearing a loud roar. Soon they see what is designated as SCP-XXXX-D.

There has been ███ different instances of SCP-XXXX-D. SCP-XXXX-D has been described as a large flying reptile. It has several spikes along its spine. Across all instances the eyes have been called yellow. Sizes vary, from 4m to 15m. Most of the time there has been long appendages on the feet. All of them, bar one, have shown extreme aggression towards humans.

D-5820: Why haven't you attacked me? All of the other ships have been destroyed and the crew killed?

*Minute Passes*

*Sounds of wings flapping*

D-5820: Thank god.

D-5820 later commented that it stared at him. He was then put under solitary confinement and observed for psychological problems.

+ Exploration Log XXXX-12

So you want me to talk into this mic Hello. Agent ███ speaking. I was the sole survivor of expedition 12. Me and a group of researchers were sent out to explore SCP-XXXX-C and learn more about the native… dragons. We set sail on the ship ██████, a large science cruiser armed with flak cannons. We set sail on the ██/██/201█ SCP-XXXX-A was stored in a repurposed cabin.

30 minutes in we had our first sighting of SCP-XXXX-D the thing flew towards us, breathing fire incinerating everyone on the deck. Upon flying back the anti aircraft got him. A small lifeboat was sent out to get a sample. Scientists onboard began to analyse it when another two dragons flew in. They landed on the AA guns and tore apart the gunners. They moved on to the security teams, eating them, burning them. The rest of the ship fell too the beasts. They toyed with the crew, much as you would see a cat play with mice.
Subject becomes distressed
I was the only survivor. I managed to jump onto a piece of wood and floated away. I can still here the screams of the people on that ship.
