Animating Headphones

A set of non-branded stereo headphones, when put on fitting inanimate subject, the subject will sprout various - though rarely accurate - human facial features and gains rudimentary sentience, suspected to be based on the resemblance to a humanoid. Removing and reapplying the headphones reverses the effects.

When placed on a living subject, the subjects face will flatten smooth and lose any and all signs of ever being alive, with all bodily functions immediately ceasing. When removed and reapplied, the subject will resprout a disfigured face, usually incomplete. Subjects display distress once noticed, and those with the ability to communicate describe the instant passing of time, when inanimate.
