Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A are to be kept in a lead-lined 4 (four) foot square container when not being tested on.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 by 2 foot loosely assembled cardboard model of a tube tv reminiscent of those used in the early 2000s. SCP-XXXX has a power button on the lower right corner of its front panel, and a power cable approximately 5 feet in length. In place of where a tv screen would be on SCP-XXXX is a black colored cardboard panel which cannot be removed from its resting place inside the cardboard tv. If SCP-XXXX's power cable is plugged into any source of power and the power button on either SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-a, the black colored cardboard will be replaced withed a glass round tube tv screen.

Along with SCP-XXXX is a remote, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-A, that is also made of cardboard. SCP-XXXX-A is a 1-1/4 by 1/4 by 4-1/2 inch cardboard box has no redeeming qualities other than circular buttons, also crudely drawn on with a permanent marker. The buttons on SCP-XXXX-A are a set of standard VOL-/+, CH</>, number pad, and directional buttons. When common living room furniture is present in the same room as SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A is left in one place out of the direct line of sight of its last user while an undesired show is on, SCP-XXXX-A will have a slight chance of teleporting to spots where remotes would commonly be lost. Such instances include SCP-XXXX-A being found in between couch cushions, under couches and other types of raised furniture, and behind bookshelves.

Addendum: Although much further research is needed to determine if SCP-XXXX is in any way related to SCP-674 and the full extent of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties, research has been held back by 04 until further notice.
