Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Video cameras are to be pointed at SCP-XXXX and monitored at all times for any sign of hostility from SCP-XXXX-1 or any object or being coming out of SCP-XXXX. The zone surrounding SCP-XXXX must be delimited by electrical fences off to a distance of 400 meters and guarded by patrolling Foundation Security Officers. All non-Foundation persons caught around the perimeter are to be given Class-B amnestics before leading them back to the nearest city of ██████. Any footage captured must be analyzed before destroying or deleting them. None is permitted inside the fenced-off area surrounding SCP-XXXX at any time. If SCP-XXXX-1 steps out of the limits of its territory, a Tactical Response team must be dispatched to the nearest point of the fence to prevent SCP-XXXX-1 from going any further.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an elliptical portal, measuring approximately 1.5 meters by 2 meters, located 12 kilometers west of the city ██████, Russia. Nothing has been seen entering or exiting the portal yet. SCP-XXXX is guarded at all times by a being designated as SCP-XXXX-1. The being is described as a hunched mammal with white skin, patches of hair around the neck and back, long forelegs ending in clawed fingers and hind legs reminiscent of a wolf's. The head is described as looking like a deer's skull, lacking any flesh and eyes. It's height is approximately 2.5 meters high.

SCP-XXXX-1 is constantly patrolling around the portal, its territory measuring 250 meters squared around it. Any living being or manned device reaching its territory is instantly detected by SCP-XXXX-1 (despite it lacking eyes, olfactory organs or auditory organs) and immediately ripped apart. SCP-XXXX-1 then resumes patrolling. Capturing footage of the portal up close or entering it is virtually impossible. Recovering bodies or destroyed devices are also virtually impossible.

SCP-XXXX-1 does not seem to need sustenance of any kind and never sleeps. Tests showed that, unless inside its territory, it will not react to any being, animal or human. Wounding SCP-XXXX-1 is possible but has little to no effect, and the wounds almost instantly heal.

SCP-XXXX was first discovered when reports of missing people were heard around the surrounding cities, most particularly ██████, and mentions of a legend about a devil deer.
