Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX-1 object poses minimal immediate containment risk. It is to be kept in a standard 2x2 metre object cell on the original white metal nightstand it was recovered with and Level 2 access and above only. A camera situated in the middle of the ceiling is to watch SCP-XXXX.

In the event that object XXXX-1 instance vanishes from its confinement, video logs are to show the exact date of the event and recovery units are to be dispatched to SCP-XXXX-2 instances.

SCP-XXXX-2 instances are monitored by low level sentry personnel housed in nearby hotels via video surveillance and are to check up on SCP-XXXX-2 bi-weekly. No individuals are to enter or exit XXXX-2 entities without approval.

Description:

SCP-XXXX appears to be a black silk sleeping mask described as "fading" or "rugged" with the string being detailed as stretched or used. The objects anomalous properties only begin to take affect when a subject is exposed to SCP-XXXX for a varied period ranging from 5 minutes to 30-40 minutes. Testing has shown the object may use unidentified telepathic means to convince a subject into putting the object over their eyes in a regular manner. If there are multiple individuals in the room the affects do not appear to be random. Favouring tired or drowsy subjects but if these limitations are not available it will instead project these affects onto affected individuals. The object once worn will make the subject immediately unconscious within 30 seconds to 1 minute. This unconscious stage will last approximately 1 hour during which the mask cannot be removed without causing psychological impairment.

Primary affects of SCP-XXXX-1 contact after subject has awoken have ranged from waking up feeling "Refreshed" "energised" others reported their vision being slightly hindered or blurred in a way described as "just waking up after a long sleep" In rarer cases subjects have developed acute to chronic sleep Apnea (See Post exposure results).

20% of subjects will experience the secondary affects of SCP-XXXX

The objects secondary affects may be activated once a subject is mostly to completely incapacitated. Subjects wearing SCP-XXXX will be seemingly "teleported" to a random area leaving the mask behind, upon further investigation these locations consist of pillow / bedding stores within the vicinity of 10-20 kilometres if there is no ideal location within the estimated area the subject will still reappear within a ████ brand bedding store within the general vicinity of the estimated range. These are considered new instances of SCP-XXXX-2¹||. Only 3 stores have been identified so far - 2 of which were already existing before foundation knowledge.

SCP-XXXX-2 instance stores do not show any out of the ordinary features to that of a normal retail bedding store. The only noticeable traits is a lack in overhead store name at the entrance, all SCP-XXXX-2 building entrance billboards have been removed by unknown means leaving small rusted poles sticking out. Foundation personnel have identified the entities by lookalike buildings to be a ████ brand bedding store made in 2010 by company █████
