SCP-5163 inside of a wooden box it was provided.
Item #: SCP-5163
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5163 is to be contained in a 3m x 3m x 3m cell made entirely of concrete. No objects that resemble humanoid figures may be present in SCP-5163’s cell at any given time.
No personnel may come into direct contact with SCP-5163 at any given time, unless a D-Class is instructed to during a test. Small amounts of oak and birch wood is to be provided to SCP-5163 on a weekly basis. Any creations made by SCP-5163 are to be confiscated for analysis. If any of these creations display anomalous properties, they are to be moved to individual, standard containment cells. These creations will be deemed sub SCPs of SCP-5163.
SCP-5163’s cell is to be observed at all times from both the inside and outside, as SCP-5163 has made several attempts to escape.
If SCP-5163 breaches containment, MTF-Theta-41, Designated “Woodchippers”, are to track down SCP-5163. MTF-Theta-41 is authorized to open fire upon SCP-5163 on sight, but is to stop when SCP-5163 is sufficiently incapacitated enough to be re-contained. MTF-Theta-41 is to carry heavy fire arms due to the resistant nature of the material that makes up SCP-5163, and small bags full of scrap wood as bait for SCP-5163.
Description: SCP-5163 is a 33cm tall modeling mannequin made for artistic use. No material that makes up SCP-5163 has proven to be differentiated from common materials used to make other modeling mannequins, but has proven to be resistant to physical damage. SCP-5163 shows high levels of sentience, as it is able to move on its own and figure out how to solve complex problems presented to it. SCP-5163 has also shown a few notable mystical properties such as the ability to levitate, and the ability to sense certain elements through walls. SCP-5163 has the ability to reconstruct itself if it is ever damaged. This process will require SCP-5163 to have access to wooden material. The type of wood used does not matter.
SCP-5163 generally shows a very calm behavior, but oftentimes becomes hostile towards foundation staff. SCP-5163 has multiple ways it tends to kill foundation staff, but the usual methods are asphyxiation, and blunt force trauma. SCP-5163 seems to have random behavioral swings, but can also be aggravated under the right circumstances. When a human comes into direct contact with SCP-5163, all vital organs of the individual will convert from organic tissue to birch wood via transmutation. This process completes within less than 40 seconds of the initial contact. SCP-5163 will then harvest the newly transmuted material from the victim's body for a multitude of purposes. SCP-5163 has also shown extreme hostility to other mannequin esc objects. Ripping any it finds to shreds until it no longer resembles a humanoid figure. SCP-5163 seems to be attracted to wooden material, and can sense wooden material through multiple walls. SCP-5163 can get considerably violent if it is unable to access wooden material for extended periods of time.
SCP-5163 can construct small objects out of wood it has access to. The exact way it does this is currently unknown, as it is somehow able to keep this process hidden from view, even while being observed at all times. Most objects that SCP-5163 creates are normal objects made out of wood, however a few of these objects have displayed anomalous properties. These objects become sub SCPs of SCP-5163. None of these sub SCPs have proven to be dangerous as of this article's creation. These sub SCPs usually have rather simple and minor anomalous properties.
SCP-5163-A: A wooden figurine of a tree. 22cm in height. Every 3-5 hours an apple will appear next to SCP-5163-A. The type of apple appears to be random each time. The apples have no anomalous properties, and are just normal apples.
SCP-5163-B: A wooden coin with an unidentifiable engraving, about 5cm in diameter. If placed on stone, the stone will transmute into solid gold within a 6 hour period. The gold has no anomalous properties, and is just normal gold. Because of SCP-5163-B’s effect, it has been dubbed “Midas’ Coin” by foundation staff.
SCP-5163-C: A wooden replica of a standard bayonet combat knife, roughly 10cm in length. Despite being made out of wood, SCP-5163-C is able to cut through about any material with relative ease. It has even been able to cut through a solid 60cm x 60cm cube of titanium.
