Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4009 is to be kept in a bulletproof glass cointainment cell at ALL times, unless removal from said enclosure is absolutely necessary. Three cameras are to be set up, monitoring the left hallway, right hallway, and the entrance to SCP-4009’s cell. 1-2 Personnel are to be sent to check the cell weekly. If the positioning of SCP-4009 is different from last check-up, this is to be reported to staff immediately.
Description: SCP-4009 is a copy of Dick Dale’s album “Checkered Flag”. When played, anyone within an 11 foot (3.3528 meters) will be put into a sort of trance, Attempting to break through the bullet proof glass to reach the disc. After prolonged exposure to the music, blood starts to drip from the eyes and nasal cavity, until victims collapse, and die. The music usually lasts 1 hour, 13 minutes. The only way to open the door is with a key provided by 4 staff members. The only way to avoid the being left paralyzed whilst the disk is playing, is to where noise cancelling headphones, to deaden the sound. There has been one incident, in which a staff member was bloodied and unresponsive, with Checkered Flag playing in the background. The door was opened, with the key still in the lock. Nobody to this day knows the staff’s intentions.
SCP-4009 was recovered from (REDACTED), Bahrain, after many incidents were reported of,”bruised and bloody bodies found in a row”. When the tape was played before being returned to (REDACTED), a local resident and staff member where also found dead. Presumably from said disc. Little is known about the disc, or it’s origins.
