SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The grouping of SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 5 m x 5 m x 5 m containment cell with steel walls at site-23. SCP-XXXX-B shall be used by SCP-XXXX-C and SCP-XXXX-D once a month at least twice a month and each application is to be recorded for future use.
Any personnel or subject that enters SCP-XXXX's containment cell is to wear infrared, ultraviolet, and x-ray protective gear and is to not remove this gear until fully outside of the containment cell. The doorway of SCP-XXXX's cell has an airlock with a drain leading to sewage between the two doors.
Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX's constant emanation of infrared waves, no security cams are allowed inside the containment cell. Instead the testing and applications shall be logged by Dr. ██████ to be used as reference for future experiments and applications.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the collection of 4 anomalous objects. SCP-XXXX-A is a non-branded plain tin paint can holding approximately 6.25 L of SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX-C is a plastic tan paint tray large enough for a 9-inch paint roller. The paint tray does not appear to have any anomalous effects. (See experiment log XXXX.3 and experiment log XXXX.4)
The liquid inside is a pure white opaque paint that seemingly has the same properties as non-anomalous paint while in contact with any of SCP-XXXX objects.
For every one centimeter traced by SCP-XXXX-D the wavelength perceived decreases by one nanometer
Experiment XXXX-1:
Name: Dr. ██████ with Dr. ███████ assisting.
Procedure: D-class subject is to be placed in secured test chamber with SCP-XXXX. The test chamber is to be observed through infrared cameras in an adjacent control room. Subject is instructed to paint the room with tools provided.
Results: Subject D-12901 is placed in the chamber and told to paint the room. Subject is not told of SCP-XXXX's anomalous features. Subject follows instructions and opens SCP-XXXX-A and begins to pour SCP-XXXX-B into SCP-XXXX-C. Nothing of note happens at this time as SCP-XXXX-B acts as normal paint would. Subject picks up SCP-XXXX-D and begins to paint wall in front of him with SCP-XXXX-B. When applied to the wall SCP-XXXX-B is yellow transitioning to green and then blue and so on. After 1.7 meters of painting SCP-XXXX-B does not appear on the walls of the chamber even though it is being used up by SCP-XXXX-D. After 3 more meters of painting Subject displays discomfort and states that his skin feels as if it is "being burned." Research staff instructs subject to continue painting and Subject complies. Approximately 1.2 meters later the camera feed is interrupted by an unknown cause. Two armed guards enter the test chamber and see the Subject continuing to paint with the camera undisturbed. Testing is ended and Subject is tested for any outside devices possibly meant for tampering with the experiment. Nothing is found but the Subject is considerably more tan with sunburns all around his exposed body.
Note: SCP-XXXX-B appears to have stained the interior walls of the test chamber with no way of removing it. After collecting data inside the testing chamber my skin felt like it was burning in the same way D-12901 described.
Experiment 2: using paint with different roller
Experiment 3: using paint roller and paint tray in other room from SCP-XXXX-A
Experiment 4: destroying paint roller and paint tray
