Description: SCP-4742 is a silver helmet made from a metal similar to that of tin. When worn SCP-4278 recreates the subjects imaginary friend known as SCP-4742-1. SCP-4742-1 instances last around an hour before fading away and afterward SCP-4742 would enter a cool down period of thirty minutes. If the subject doesn't have an imaginary friend then the helmet would do nothing. While forms vary SCP-4742-1 when the subject is between the ages of 3-9 4742-1 instances are typically seen as happy and playful often wanting to play games such as hide and seek, freeze tag, and a number of different board games depending on the subject. SCP-4742-1 appears unable or unwilling to communicate with anyone over the age of nine instead focusing all its attention on the child that summoned it.

When SCP-4742 is used by a subject over nine years old SCP-4742-1 instead manifests deceased. Researchers have hypothesized that this effect is caused when kids forget about their imaginary friends overtime it’s most likely that without believing in them they simply can’t exist.

SCP-4742 was discovered in a small suburban home in [REDACTED] Colorado where it was reported that their five year old's Imaginary friend had somehow appearance in their backyard.
