Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept label-side-down in an airtight container in room ██. All writing on the label is to be done with the 4H pencil placed in the oblong container to SCP-XXXX's right; and the tape is only to be played in the provided Sony boombox (henceforth SCP-XXXX-1) to SCP-XXXX's left. The pencil, tape and boombox are to be returned immediately after being used.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Hitachi cassette tape with a label on the back that is empty at the time of writing. When nothing is written upon the label, SCP-XXXX plays completely silently. However, when the label is written on, the audio held on SCP-XXXX changes to a recording of Morgan Freeman reciting what is written. The audio quality is determined by the neatness of the handwriting used, more specifically by how much the writing used resembles the font Times New Roman.
The narrator's voice for SCP-XXXX seems to change when it is written in a different language. Each language tested has had a different voice, however the voice used for different languages has yet to be identified as belonging to a specific person. The exception to this is any Icelandic phrase containing the letter thorn (Þ, þ), which will instead cause the tape to play a recording of Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To the Moon from the right speaker, and a square wave with a frequency of 75 hz from the left.
SCP-XXXX was found inside of SCP-XXXX-1 by Dr. ██████ in the town of Seoul, South Korea at the [DATA EXPUNGED], with Korean text written on the label in pencil. The writing was later translated at the foundation by Dr. ██████, who confirmed it read "Write on me!", although the word "Write" was misspelled in Korean. The pencil was purchased from a local Staples by Dr. ██████ on his way back to the foundation.
