SCPHOLE

SCP-#### where it was discovered.

Item #: SCP-####

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is to be kept in a altered Secure Locker at Site-19.
SCP-####'s locker has to be fitted with diamond coated walls and a silver spherical lattice.
SCP-#### is to be secured into the lattice and may only be removed for testing.
Testing on SCP-#### may only take place in a room refitted with diamond coated walls and a silver spherical lattice on a silver coated pedestal. (The materials used to contain SCP-#### may be altered in case of an emergency by any other of the "safe" materials.) SCP-#### must be guarded by a minimum of two guards and access is only to be given to clearance level 2 personnel. For testing and transportation a pair of gloves coated in small diamonds are to be used.

REPLICACAGE

SCP-#### in containment.

Description: SCP-#### is a 15 x 15 centimeter spherical object resembling a 17th century cannonball. In both an "active" and a "inactive" state, SCP-#### will appear to be immune to any damage. Not much is known about SCP-#### and most of its properties are assumed to be anomilous.

SCP-#### came into the foundation's possesion in 1999 after it being found in a mine located in Germany. Foundation agents quickly arrived on the scene and evacuated the quarry with the pretence of a mining accident. After a difficult recovery SCP-#### was transported to Site-19.

SCP-#### will remain in an inactive state when in contact: gold, silver, diamond or magma.
(Referred to as: "safe" materials.) In its "inactive state", SCP-####'s weight will be that of a normal 17th century cannonball.
It is currently unknown why SCP-#### requires those materials to be in an inactive and if there are more materials which have the same effect. SCP-#### will enter an "active" state when contact with any of these materials is broken. In an "active" state, SCP-#### will gain mass immediately, how it gains mass is currently unknown and is presumed to be anomilous. SCP-#### will then proceed to rapidly gravitate to the earth's core. During its fall, SCP-#### pushes aside all materials it encounters. SCP-####'s speed and direction will not be influenced by any material except the "safe" materials. It is hypothesized that if SCP-#### was to fall through the ground without encountering any "safe" materials, that it could possibly make a hole in earth's crust but also tear it apart by the force of the impact, which could be catastrophic for live on earth and would result in a GH-class scenario or worse.

Addendum: Notable tests performed on SCP-####.

25/09/1999
Item: Thin layer of diamond.

Procedure: SCP-#### was dropped on the item.

Test Results: No damage to SCP-#### and the item.

Note: Diamond is from now on to be used for the containment cell.

26/09/1999
Item: Silver

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed and later dropped on the item.

Test Results: No damage to SCP-#### and the item.

Note: Silver is now to be used together with Diamond to lower the costs of containment.

29/09/1999
Item: Gold bar.

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed and later dropped on the item.

Test Results: No damage to SCP-#### and the item.

Note: Material not durable enough to be used for containment.

10/10/1999
Purpose: Testing SCP-####'s properties.

Procedure: A 500 meter tall steel tube with one closed end was constructed with the inside coated in silver. The tube was then mounted to the ground with the open end facing 90° upwards.
The tube was then filled with dirt and rocks. SCP-#### was then dropped down the tube with a crane.

Test Results: SCP-#### increased speed rapidly and pushed aside all materials severly denting the tube until it abruptly stopped at the bottom of the tube where it came in contact with the silver.

03/01/2001
Item: Magma in an iron pot.

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed and later dropped in the item.

Test Results: No effect on SCP-#### and the item.

06/01/200107/01/200108/01/2001
Item: All metals considered to be qualified for used in the containment of SCP-####.

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed and later dropped on the item.

Test Results: SCP-#### entered its "active" state.

19/06/2007
Item: SCP-914

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed into SCP-914 well resting upon a silver coated plate. All settings were tested.

Test Results: SCP-914 had no effect on SCP-#### on all settings.

18/07/2008
Item: D-5028 equipped with a pair of diamond coated gloves.

Procedure: Subject was ordered to pickup SCP-####.

Test Results: SCP-#### was picked up and remained in its "inactive" state.

19/07/2008
Item: D-9023

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed on top of D-9023 who was laying down on the ground.

Test Results: SCP-#### entered an "active" state and fell through D-9023. SCP-#### left a
15 x 15 centimeter hole in the subject's chest killing him instantly.

Note by Dr.████: Testing on animals and humans will be halted seeing as they all suffer the same result.

25/06/2009
Item: SCP-106

Procedure: SCP-#### was placed on a corroded piece of metal brought in from Site-██
after a recent SCP-106 containment breach.

Test Results: SCP-#### remained unaffected.

01/07/2009
Item: SCP-409

Procedure: SCP-#### was brought in contact with SCP-409

Test Results: SCP-#### remains unaffected.
Note: A small layer of human blood which seems to have remained on SCP-#### did crystallize.

Note from Dr.████: Testing on SCP-#### .
