Item #: SCP-3487
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3487 is to be contained in a one cubic meter box made out of steel tungsten. Said cube must be guarded by Level 2 staff or higher at all times. The Level 2 staff guarding the box must be armed with one fully-loaded AR-15 rifle each.
In the event that a breakout occurs, SCP-3487 should be fired upon with the aforementioned AR-15 rifles until its movement has stopped. No staff is to approach SCP-3487 until its death is confirmed; a Level 5 staff member is to then contain the corpse in the steel tungsten box.
Description: SCP-3487 is a sphere of red and white; it appears akin to a Major League Baseball. SCP-3487 was discovered on 2/24/05 at 10:32 AM in Reedville, Oregon.
A girl, aged seven, mistook SCP-3487 for a regular baseball and picked it up. She then hit SCP-3487 off of a batting tee with a metal baseball bat; the ball traveled only a few feet.
Approximately ten (10) seconds after picking the ball up again, while still having it in her right hand, SCP-3487 opened up along its stitches, showing its interior, and proceeded to [REDACTED] her right arm. The ball, having just fallen on the ground, closed up and rolled towards her, [REDACTED] her left leg after opening up again, and proceeded to attempt to do the same thing to the rest of her body.
The girl was found by authorities in a mangled state; she had died due to blood loss.
