"Rumin"

Special Containment Procedures: However formidable SCP or "Rumin's" powers are, they are limited to that of their mirror or whatever temporary host they take over. The mirror itself is the only thing that is truly able to contain their power, shattering the it (and/or its frame) entirely would give Rumin full unchecked access to their powers and, with nothing able to keep them contained properly, they would be able to take a fully physical form and begin burning the world from the inside out. However because of their mirror the only way they can use their powers in the physical world is by taking a human host, but trying to transfer all of their power into a human body (even in small doses) burns it out. As it stands the mirror’s figure head is already missing two eyes, and its surface has already been dealt a multitude of small cracks, and the amount of power Rumin already possesses because of this is why it is recommended that their containment area has as few guests as possible. Other than that Rumin has requested the room be left on the lowest warm light settings possible (without being completely dark). The mirror to be checked every other week that it is securely mounted to the wall, and any further damage done to it or found is to be reported immediantly.

Description: At first glance SCP seems to be nothing more than a cracked 22 x 28 mirror mounted securely to the wall. But, it is what is inside the mirror that keeps it in the Facility. Inside resides a humanoid creature made up entirely of an unknown shadowy substance that sits in a valley between being heavy/goopy and misty/gaseous with white misty eyes, they have been asked to go my "Rumin". They go by any pronouns except “it/thing” and are just content to be referred to as a living being. They (according to themselves) hold immense amounts of power and knowledge, though that knowledge does not seem to include being able to read. When they first arrived in the facility they plagued whoever entered their room with rampant and horrific hallucinations and burned the retinas of those that got to close to them. Now, though, they are much calmer and say that they do somewhat enjoy their time at the facility. They have asked on many occasions about meeting other SCPs but the facility seems to be rather hesitant in letting them do so.

Addendum: It should be noted that Rumin will occasionally appear on staff/personal devices such as tablets or phones (if they have the camera app running in the background), that or they’ll appear in other mirrors around the facility. This is no cause for concern as they cannot read, and they have no power in this state, they are often just curious as to what goes on around them. They have been known to tell the occasional story to workers who are on break. In fact Rumin has grown to fancy many of the workers, often (if caught in the right mood) rambling for many an hour about the past or things they know about the world. Though unable to fully amalgamate a form outside of their mirror they are able to get most of their upper body out and will do this on occasions to 'stretch', though they have admitted to certain staff who caught them that they are really just trying to see if they can escape yet.
