Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, a research and containment site has been built one hundred and twenty m away from the cemetery in which SCP-XXXX resides. Two armed personnel are to be watching SCP-XXXXs location from inside the site, as well as one personnel disguised as a custodian and is to report any anomalous activity immediately. If such activity is reported, Task Force Cimitero is to move in on the location armed and ordered to neutralize any entity that makes its way out of SCP-XXXX.
If a minimum of four different anomalous entities of Euclid or higher Object Class exit the tomb within a twelve minute span, all available Task Forces and high ranking staff are to report to Site-332 to prepare for a potential ADK Class Full Anomalous Destabilization scenario. Any other anomalous entities are to be terminated. Additional armed personnel are to be added to the containment site to monitor SCP-XXXX for no less than forty eight hours before activity is to return as usual.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a gothic era tomb found in ███████ Cemetery located in Calabria, Italy. The tomb is located in the center of an otherwise empty mausoleum. Upon entering the tomb, no anomalies are noted as of yet. Although the tomb is made of an unknown earthy material, the cover of the tomb is light in contrast to the rest of the tomb, which is immovable. The lid itself weighs approximately seventy four lbs. When opened the tomb appears empty other than a humanoid femur bone protruding from the ground in a vertical position. This bone has been labeled as SCP-XXXX-A The exact age of the bone is unknown, although it is theorized to have been there before the cemetery was built. The bone itself is immovable as well. When researchers on site attempted to remove the bone, they discovered that its length was almost eighty eight times the length of an adult femur(see addendum A) and leads down to a series of catacombs of unknown end. The catacombs is to be labeled SCP-XXXX-B.
The lightless catacomb has been reported to have no sense of life. The architectural style of SCP-XXXX-B is of an unknown time period but is similar to the style of ancient Greeks with the heavy use marble like materials. SCP-XXXX-B is comprised of an unknown number of coffins, similar to SCP-XXXX, lining the walls. The only differences between the objects are the golden numbers carved into the front of the casket. As of now the numbers recorded are approximately ██, which were the only caskets to be placed in a wall like pattern, Those with an etched one as well caskets in numerical order all the way from two up to ██,███. These caskets have been numbered SCP-XXXX-(their respective number). It is unknown how many caskets are inside the catacomb due to the lack of light in the deeper areas, as any form of light past SCP-XXXX-3679 goes out.
(Addendum A): After ███ accounts of missing person cases near the area of SCP-XXXX, the foundation stepped in and began research. Upon the discovery of SCP-XXXX-A, soon after learning the nature of SCP-XXXX-B, attempted to seek the bottom of SCP-XXXX-B with heavy duty digging units disguised as an expansion team. While the population of the towns in which SCP-XXXX resides is few, the townsfolk refused to allow the “expansion” to be allowed to happen and caused protest. This protest resulted in a town wide exposure or Class-A amnestics to allow the digging to be done. Upon entering SCP-XXXX-B via SCP-XXXX-A, the digging crew was attacked by several identical entities. The attack lasted several minutes and resulted in three known casualties of the digging crew. An additional causality was reported after the head of the digging crew explained that his second in command was dragged off and classified as MIA. The entities were reported to be men in all white suits, the only difference being the animal masks they wore. These were later confirmed to be SCP-XXXX-████.Researchers began to delve into SCP-XXXX-B to record its properties. They noted the odd smells seeping from some of the caskets as they wrote their description of the area. Although researchers were instructed to reach the end of the catacomb, they refused to move past SCP-XXXX-049. After several requests by the researchers to have a containment team move on site, their request was granted. A containment team had moved to the researchers location to see that they had been terminated. The terminated researchers were reanimated and began to move towards the containment team as a cloaked entity was in the fetal position facing the opposite direction. Upon realization, the containment team eliminated the reanimated researchers and reported a possible breach.
