SCP-5463
Item #: SCP-5463
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5463 can be kept safely in a minimal security environment. SCP-5463 is to be kept in standard Class B suite at site-██.
Reasonable requests for personal items and modifications to the containment suite may be granted upon approval by a Level 4 or higher authority. To date, SCP-5463 has requested:
- A “dress-up” box filled up with assorted clothing adjusted for SCP-5463, most notably, it has requested most of the clothes to be female clothing (granted).
- School textbooks of assorted subjects (mostly English) and a pencil gripper made for it (granted).
- A bean bag for it to sleep on (granted).
SCP-5463’s room has got toys, art supplies and other forms of entertainment for it to play with and a large bean bag to sleep on as it has requested and then been given as it was a reasonable request.
SCP-5463 is allowed to freely roam the facility should it desire to, but otherwise must stay in its room either between 8PM-9PM for sleeping, or during emergency lockdowns for its own safety. SCP-5463 is not allowed out of its room at night or off facility grounds at any time. Room is to be kept clean twice daily. All personnel are allowed inside SCP-5463’s holding area, but only if they are not assigned to other tasks at the time, or if they are on break. It is to be played with when bored and spoken to in a calm, non-threatening tone.
SCP-5463 is to be fed soft or cut up food in a bowl or plate 2 times daily, it’s favourite food seems to be candy, lamingtons and cookies that have a noticeable trace of chocolate, SCP-5463 can be lured with these items of food to a chamber for testing.
Description: SCP-5463 appears to be 4 shiny spherical golden bells of 2 different sizes that are of an unknown material that is very durable and SCP-5463 can move them freely and quickly, 2 bells are roughly the size of basketballs, and the other 2 bells are roughly the size of tennis balls. The smaller 2 bells appear to be “hands”, though it has difficulty holding items as it doesn’t have any features on those bells to grip any item and it relies on balance to transport. One of the bigger bells appears to function as a head, having 3 holes slightly smaller than a golf ball arranged to look like a face, these holes don’t move in any way at all, it weighs altogether approximately 1.81 kg.
SCP-5463’s temperament is best described as playful and child-like, playing with toys in its room when it has nothing else to do, or to roam around the facility. Though it has a mouth, it can only make a whirring or whistling sound as communication, and as of ██/██/████ has a very limited knowledge on English, and has to be talked to with simple words or it will have difficulty understanding what it is talking to (but it knows what are names after a few repetitions or direct teaching).
Simply touching SCP-5463 causes it to become very happy and excited and if it was pat in it’s room, it will; if it hadn’t already, find something for it the person that pat it to play with. When a person plays or helps SCP-5463, it bonds with that person, appearing to be happy around that same person and often following them.
While it will interact with anyone, it seems to have a special interest in those who are unhappy or hurt in any way. Persons suffering from crippling depression or PTSD, for example, have reported having a far more positive outlook on life after multiple interactions with SCP-5463.
SCP-5463’s intellect is still up for debate: though its behaviour is infantile, it seems to understand most modern technology, including guns (it went in front of one of it’s bonded humans to block a bullet).
Experiment 5463-a: SCP-5463 was put in a room with a window sized opening on two parallel walls, there would be a timer on the doors to open and close, one was open when the other wasn’t. The test results were:
SCP-5463 at first went at pace speed towards one of the openings.
When it closed, it went to the other one before it closed.
Visibly frustrated, it went at [redacted km/h], making a cracking sound as it broke the sound barrier
Note 5463-1: It’s… pretty fast. - Dr. Farrow
Experiment 5463-b: SCP-5463 was put in a room with D-███, D-███ was told to engage in combat against SCP-5463. As D-███ hit SCP-5463, it bludgeoned D-███ with it’s bells at [redacted] km/h, making the sound of gunshots.
Note 5463-2: Jesus. fucking. Christ. That was brutal. - Dr Farrow
Experiment 5463-c: D-███ is put in SCP-5463’s room and told to play with it. After a couple of hours, SCP-5463 started rubbing itself against D-███.
Note 5463-3: I know what this means, figure it out, it’s pretty easy to figure out and it’s pretty animalistic. - Dr Farrow
